TF2 Forum?

TF2 trading is nearly as big as CS:GO trading. I don't personally trade in TF2 items, but I've seen people throwing in TF2 item offers in the steam forum, and maybe it would be better to just have a TF2 forum.

 

Don't see any posts pertaining to Team Fortress 2. Personally don't know much about the size or activity of the game, but judging from recent threads, it doesn't seem to be actively traded here on Sythe. Can't find any really active markets anywhere, but hey, I may have missed something.

I think it's fine that when posts do pop up, they can just show in the Steam Sales section

 

I feel like it'd be on of those forums that always get opened, have a spike of activity for a week, and then just die and get closed up later on. I mean I get what your saying it does have a market, I just don't think one big enough to warrant a section on Sythe.

 

For anyone that's not aware, thing CS:GO market on a much smaller sale. It's come up before and the market is only declining, you won't be seeing a section unless something seriously new happens in tf2 to attract tons of players.

 

No support,tf2 has around 50-60k players on average,sometimes 80k on peak.
Csgo has 500-600k average, and 800k sometimes even more on peak it clearly shows tf2 does and will never have the required amount of players for a own section imo,unless something happens and the playerbase instantly goes up.

 

how big is rs's player base? (just wondering)

personally, i agree with dunworry. i haven't ever seen these threads so not sure why they merit their own section. feel free to show us that we've overlooked something if we have!

 

I'm going to have to disagree with this suggestion. The CSGO market is active, but underwhelming when you realize how many players there are. I believe it's over 7M unique players and peaked at 700k players simultaneously. Now the difference is CSGO has a paywall to add to it. Which means almost everyone that owns CSGO has a method of spending money online.

DotA 2 has 860k players, but it has no paywall. Its market is somewhat weak last I checked. If anything, DotA should get a market before TF2, however I wouldn't even support a dota 2 market.

TF2 has a tenth active players on of what CSGO and DotA2 gets.

 

Rs is probably the same as tf2,the difference is more people came to sythe from rs than there would/will from tf2 in my eyes,there's not enough demand for it from what I've seen personally

 

I dont play TF, but Im guessing their items are purely cosmetic like CSGO. On RS you can use gold to train a bunch of skills, risk and gamble.

 

Correct, the only thing it could do is potentially bring a few members in to sythe,but as said above the number would be way to small judging by the amount of average players & demand.

 

Don't think the amount of activity warrants a completely new section. As russian killer mentioned with the playerbases, CS:GO's market on here is already not that strong even with it's huge playerbase. With a playerbase of TF2's size, I can't see a market section really taking off. Perhaps this idea can be brought up again when/if activity in "steam sales" of TF2 threads dramatically increases but I just don't see the demand for it
