Farming

Currently 92 - planting magics and papayas + calquat. I know that palms are better xp but I think that they aren't worth the gp/xp.

Does anyone know if it's worth paying the farmers to watch crops? Also, is there anything else to farm for good xp? Currently I do 1 run a day, maybe an extra tree run

 

It's worth paying the farmer to watch over those trees you mentioned.

You can farm watermelon on the side. Only worth doing if you do a lot of farm runs per day however.

 

Depends if you can afford it. magic trees for example, 25 coconuts = 18,750gp, 1 magic sapling = 110k. I'd definetly do it since the extra 20k gp is nothing and it makes sure you dont lose 110k and a load of xp. Magics+papayas+calquats is the best and its not really worth the time farming other stuff like allotments, but if u have the time for a quick herb run every now and then it'd probably add up to some decent xp. It's worth it to have the farmer look over Magic Trees, no doubt about that.

 

Worth paying the farmers if you are planting tree's.
I do it for Magic Tree's currently.

 

If you want to get 99farm u have to pay the bills

 

Look into planting spirit tree seeds as well.

And if you're worried about the gp/exp, just start farming herbs. Fairly profitable, and if you're going to be doing runs anyways, it helps save you some money on the run to 99 farming

 

I heard the rate for death for mage trees is 1/8? so if the supplies for watching trees is 20k and the saplings cost 110k...that's not really worth having them watch over right?

 

I'd still say its worth it, 20k isn't much to ensure the xp, like dunworry said, just do like 1 herb run a day and you have the money back

 

tbh i'd spend the extra 20k due to the time it takes to grow trees and the considerable xp it gives, you don't want to take the chance.

eventhough it is 1/8 chance, if you don't pay you may sometime get a run where 75% of your trees have died, it kills your progression considerably.

tl;dr; just pay the 20k and save the trouble

Yea starting to grow them now. They aren't tradable though and take 2 and a half day to grow

 

I do the same exact thing as you and am currently 95 Farming: Magic Trees, Papaya, and Calquat

I use Supercompost for the Magic Trees
Pay the pineapples for the Papaya Trees
Use Supercompost for the Calquat Tree

I'd say out of 5 Magic Trees I do per run, the average dead tree per run is slightly less than 1. Never had a run where more than 2 of my trees have died. I don't think it is worth it to pay the farmers to watch magic trees

 

haha I actually just today bought the supplies I needed which include around 7k coconuts for for ~280 mage trees. I figured it's only 5m extra, and in total it'll probably only be 2-3m extra that I'm paying for. In that 2-3m I can probably save around 5 total runs and a few days worth of time
