I Bleed Duke Blue Pardon for Ban Evading / Scamming

    Hi,

I had an old pardon closed per the 30 day contact rule here: http://www.sythe.org/dispute-forum-...-blue-requesting-pardon-scamming-evasion.html

In it, pretty much everything is detailed in full, probably too much in full. So I will make the second go round short and sweet.

    Your profile link: http://www.sythe.org/members/272971-i-bleed-duke-blue.html
Report/post/reason that got you banned: Admitted to Ban Evasion of a previously banned account for scamming, and evading that ban on two other accounts prior to I Bleed Duke Blue.
Proof of contacting victims for repayment or repayment of victims: All previously scammed members have been either repayed in full, and Colomdem is the only one I couldn't get a hold of. I have had him friend request pending on Skype for over 5 months now.
Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now: No, my confession that was originally in Spam Forum contained everything.
Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you: Read below
Did you fully read and follow this sticky thread in the pardon section?: Yes

Okay, so - I have decided to try to get my name cleared through a pardon. I originally said I was never going to pardon, but I decided not clearing my name was both immature and foolish. I have immensely enjoyed my time here and I did legitimately like helping people and hosting tournaments and giveaways. I worked my way up all the way to member of the CDT and was a sectional mod. Obviously that does not erase my past, where I was behind on giving customers what they rightfully paid for.

TTB did give me a substantial loan which is still not due (Jan 2016). We have been in constant contact since and he has no doubts about my ability to pay him. A secondary loan of 600 dollars was also given out, of which half has been paid and the other half (as of today, 9/20/2015) is in a payment plan stage which TTB and myself came up with and planned to be paid in full by October 31st 2015 - He can confirm this himself.

There's nothing I haven't confessed in previous pardons. I want Milz was banned for scamming because I did not pay Colomdem in a timely fashion. Ordo Saggitae was banned on a bogus report - but it doesn't matter because I was legitimately ban evading which is permanent ban offense anyway. And Mets Baseball was caught for evading. IBDB was suspected of evading by a member that I irresponsibly banned for ban evading with insufficient evidence (I did have strong reason to believe he was ban evading) - but he also knew I was as well and started to attempt to extort me. So I just came clean on my somewhat own terms - but I don't deny I was still a coward in not coming clean on my own terms. I handled that situation incredibly poorly.

That said, I wholly believe my time and effort devoted to this site greatly outweigh my shortcomings and rules I broke as a 15 year old kid. I've grown up substantially and was never a charlatan in my actions. I really do like giving back - but I figured that my past indiscretions at the very least warranted a long term ban. Which is why I did not pardon after the 1 month window of contact for Colomdem closed.

I have kept in contact with many Sythe members post ban and have even conducted business with a number of them, including buying a Fire Cape from Zuzel in which he did the cape prior to payment. I have still been trusted with large sums of money and gold post-ban. Frankly, I Want Milz was never an account I planned to scam on, I simply got overwhelmed and my naivety with timely customer service and my gross immaturity ultimately led to a deserved ban from the forums. Instead of being a man, paying it, and getting unbanned the proper way I evaded the ban. For that, I cannot erase the past, I can only apologize for my childish actions.

Some people have given me flack for taking a loan from TTB, a person who has had self-admitted problems with gambling and risking large sums of money in the past. You're entitled to that opinion, but I'd ask for it again in a heartbeat. The circumstances behind why I took the loan are private between TTB and myself. He did not even want the loan itself to be divulged because of fear that others would ask him for similar loans. I just want to have it be known I have always paid on time when we have had payment plans in place, and I have been in constant contact with him post ban and will be in constant contact with him regardless of the pardon outcome.

I will attempt to clear my name probably once every 6 months. My activity would very likely not be what it once was, but I am still an active Runescape player and would still actively host tournaments. Obviously my modship would be gone, but being a contributing member again would be thrilling. I'd really like the opportunity to come back here and redeem myself. Obviously, that is out of my hands, all I can do is apologize for the mistakes of the past and look towards the future.Whether or not Sythe is in that future is up to you. I have not since made any new accounts or circumvented my ban in any way. I have stayed away from Sythe besides contacting Sythe members on Skype for the past 5 ish months or however long it has been.

Very few people turned their back on me after I was banned, which I believe speaks to my body of work throughout my time on I Bleed Duke Blue. Yes, my hard work did eventually get me modded, and I enjoyed it, but I never leveraged that position to utilize the market for better rates or services. I very rarely used the market. I was a community oriented member because I love the community and I love Runescape. I felt physically ill the day I got asked to be mod knowing of my dark, checkered past, and even more guilty the day I let it all out for the entire community to see that I had, to a large extent, been a fraud. My addiction to Sythe outweighed my integrity in that situation.

Now, it is up to you, I can answer any questions you have for me based on anything. I will not go campaigning on Sythe trying to drum up support. I leave the decision to the facts of the case and my previous body of work within the site. If you believe that is good enough for a 2nd chance, I am deeply grateful. I realize that even with an unban my character rebuilding would not be complete. And if it does not pass, I will patiently wait another six months to try again.

Thanks - and just a shoutout to anyone still keeping into contact with me. I appreciate the unwavering support and courage despite my flaws as a person, both in real life and as a previous member of Sythe.

Darkest Dream covered the CDT tournament prize that was in session shortly after I got banned.

He can contact me immediately for the 100m Rs3 or take the equivalent in Paypal, his choice. I honestly completely forgot about it and hadn't talked to him since April or Early May.

Colomdem's skype can be found listed on his profile.

Here are my attempts to contact him:

Darkest Dream got the 100m owed to him that he covered for me in a CDT tournament prize pool.

    He can confirm this.

Would also just like to add all of the business I have done after being banned on Sythe (All of these people can confirm these deals and I have the paypal receipts to prove it if need be):

Purchased 350M from Joshuaag, He went first.

Purchased 250M ish from TTB, He went first.

Purchased 300M from Bogla, He went first.

Purchased 2007 Fire Cape from Zuzel, he went first.

Reimbursed Darkest Dream the 100m I had promised for a CDT event (I was banned post event and largely off the internet while it all went down, DD covered it for me).

Have kept Colomdem on pending FR to try and reimburse him. A mod telling me exactly what I owe to him would also be appreciated.

Have been in constant contact with TTB and have sent money whenever he has absolutely needed it. He has been liberal about it because my finances are still pretty heavily pronounced while I am in school. That said, I work 40+ hours a week now after being mostly unemployed throughout the summer, so paying him back is not a challenge.

The Josh + Bogla transactions were covered by TTB in the event that I scammed, but I did not. The fact he trusts me even further after already owing him a large sum of money speaks to his trust in me. A trust I have never abused or circumvented. Also - I would like to add that I am not going to be one of those members that forever leaves a debt. Even if I never get unbanned, I will continually update staff on any outstanding debts that have been repaid.

The loan with TTB is in the amount of RSGP, which I have more than enough to cover on my main account if things were to go awry (I don't use it for trading so it isn't flagged). He will be getting it in cash form likely as the market has since negatively fluctuated in terms of gold value. The gold is there for safety and a back up plan if something goes wrong. I still actively play Runescape so minimizing my risk of getting permanent bans plays a large part why I want to pay TTB back in actual cash.

The 2nd loan was 900M RS GP and 300 dollars cash. The cash has already been repaid in full. The GP is the next thing that I owe (this is independent of the 3B loan due in January of 2016). Like I said, this is in a payment plan stage that TTB has agreed to. After the 2nd loan is paid off, the next payment plan will be in place for the original loan that he gave me (which again, does not mature until Jan 2016).

While I still owe a lot, my ability to pay and meet payment plan deadlines has never been questioned / it hasn't been proven that I cannot uphold my promises to pay in a timely fashion. In addition, I wasn't banned because I owed TTB money, I was banned because I evaded and scammed on a previous account. I easily could have disappeared and never paid him a cent, but that was never my plan and never will be the plan.

Just adding some more context to parts of my pardon that may have seemed incomplete. Any other questions and I can answer them, thanks.

Confirmed DD has received the $

With regards to this payment plan, what's unique about it this time that will ensure you're able to meet the deadline for payment? I can appreciate that already half of the initial loan has been paid yet it's been dragging on with the first maturity date lapsing.

I Bleed Duke Blue Pardon for Ban Evading / Scamming

My job was a pretty much on-call job last year, meaning that I did not get many hours to work per week. I had a lot more in the term of finances because I was abroad for the year. My rent was exorbitantly more expensive because I was on a solo lease, and didn't have roommates.

This time around, my rent is much cheaper (2 roommates), my job is much more frequent (I work 40 + hours a week), and whereas me and TTB weren't the best with making dates to meet in the past, we have been a lot more organized about it.

I could sit here and give my sob story about how rough my life got last year, but that's really irrelevant in terms of my pardon. I've always been somewhat financially well off but there were A LOT of external costs last year and variable costs that will not occur on my normal routine (I returned to school this year and have a relatively strong grasp of my finances, whereas last year random expenses would often crop up).. TTB was incredibly understanding of this and quite frankly I'll never be fully out of his debt because his trust in me and helping me has helped me volumes. In addition, we all know college isn't cheap, and I pay for it mostly out of pocket.

As far as the original loan goes, that was always a January 2016 due date. That loan was never pushed back or altered in any way. The 2nd loan was given because of something that came up in real life for me. 900M Rs3 + 300 bucks as previously mentioned, the latter being paid.

I'm honestly 1000 percent confident that by Halloween 2015 that secondary loan will be covered. If you guys feel the need to deny it because it's not soon enough, no argument from me tbh. I just feel that I have shown I can meet deadlines on payments and it's honestly a lot less stressful to have the payments in increments and TTB is more than okay with this (he can reaffirm this if need be). Having them in increments gives me room for discretionary costs that we all face as growing adults.

Lastly, I'll reiterate - I really do want to return to Sythe and contribute again. But at the very least, by settling all debts, I'll be a banned member that owes nothing (and continues to pardon every 6 months) - and a banned member whose name is mostly cleared. A banned member who could have made off with 1500+ dollars by doing no work. Just not that kind of person. The people that have gotten to know me also know I'm not that kind of person.

Also, I submitted a post earlier detailing my business dealings since I've been banned. It's not a lot, but it's not insubstantial either. Most of that GP went to friends and family for various reasons, but I was the one buying it. And most of the time, the seller went first to me despite me being banned.

I Bleed Duke Blue Pardon for Ban Evading / Scamming

I have no affiliation to Dylanrocker and have no idea who he is.

My accounts, in order, were I Want Milz, Ordo Saggitae, Mets Baseball, I Bleed Duke Blue.

And I had some green arrow account too after Duke that I just trolled on sometimes - I admitted to this in my original mea culpa. It was banned.

Mets Baseball was banned for evasion- Simple enough. No other reports.

Ordo Saggitae - Video found it to be a fraudulent evidence log against me. Ban reason was Phishing which was also wrong. Ban reason was clearly an error. I never scammed on Ordo Saggitae and the one report against me was wrong - though it didn't matter as I was ban evading.

I Bleed Duke Blue - banned after admitting infractions

Arrow account (dont remember name) - banned after admitting infractions

As far as those WoW Gamecards, that whole business was just a mess. I never had the intention of scamming members, I just got into a horrible habit of being late on payments. When one person would legitimately accuse me, others would accuse me in the hopes of extorting me for a game card as well. A lot of the time I'd take accounts as payments and they'd be subsequently recovered. That whole business was just a lot seedier than my Ultimate Game Card business.

The sold account was a problem where the original owner (not me) recovered the account. I'd have no problem contacting that member as well to reach some sort of settlement.

I'm not trying to get out of paying certain people. There's no way my total debt would be over 50 lousy dollars to all of those people combined. Knowing who was paid back as a part of my first unban and who was just lying about being scammed is very difficult.

I will fully admit I don't doubt there are a few customers who never got their cards. Unfortunately as that was in 2007 (?) 2008 (?) so asking me to remember that is impossible. I'd really leave it up to the burden of proof or have another mod make a ruling on what I do and do not owe.

The ripped guide was absolutely an infraction, and Finn TWCed me for it. I was no longer allowed to sell the guide. That TWC came before my original ban - I want Milz was unbanned and rebanned mind you. It's hard to know when those reports came. I was banned and then unbanned for repaying a member. Then I got a TWC for the guide rip, I eventually got rid of the TWC but got banned for scamming Colomdem. All of those other reports have incredibly sparse evidence and I definitely remember being framed + people outright making erroneous reports against me.

I made a report against Pking is Ftw completely debunking all of his claims and a moderator subsequently agreed and closed it.

My TWC appeal should mention the ripped guide as thats why I got it. I think I had a TWC on TWO separate occasions, one being for the ripped guide and one being for not being timely with paying customers.

Both TWC's were eventually wiped but another ban obviously occurred later on.

Pirate report is completely bogus, I remember he gave me an account and recovered it. Just a wall of text accusing me of the opposite.

Bifenna I can't remember. I seem to recall him paying for a card via paypal and charging me back. My paypal account ended up getting banned or locked or something as a result and I would get collection agency letters for owing 60 dollars to paypal as I was in negative credit.

Pking is ftw was a liar- That report was debunked by me. I'm sure someone could find it in the archives.

Colomdem was absolutely not given full goods on his payment.

Ebolic report was FAKE. Video found this out months ago. Chat logs were obviously edited. And that's all it was, a chat log. A mod would have to be pretty dense to ban over that.

No support from me at this time. I hope you do continue to repay your loan off with TTB and would be willing to support in the future if you stick to it.(if you somehow don't get through this time round) I just feel like the poor communication was poor step to take, when you owe him such a substantial amount.

    Appreciate the input so far.

Respect your opinion Travis. Although a bit confused as to where you think the lack of communication took place. I have never stopped talking to TTB from the time the loan started to today.

It was more so a difficult in paying based on my finances and that has now significantly changed as I described above.

If TTB had been more aggressive and voiced desperation in needing to be paid, I would have made it work.

The slower paced was intentional, as TTB was fine with a longer window as long as he was being updated on my situation, which he was, on a weekly basis.

definitely not in favor of a pardon until TTB gets refunded. you owe him too much money.

but once that is paid back, this is another story altogether.

Reminder to other staff that we don't give conditional pardons, so it's a yes/no based on the current situation. IBDB we typically restart pardons that involve payback. If you'd like, you can hold off on the voting process until you pay back TTB, and you wouldn't have to wait 6 months. If you choose to go ahead and want a full pardon I'll edit this with my vote.

After some deep thought, I think the best course of action is to "freeze" my pardon until TTB is paid back in full. So I will take Blade up on the offer to have a vote a few months down the line when TTB is refunded in full. It might be more than 6 months, but I'm aiming for that not to be the case. I doubt it will be if I start economizing now.

It's probably not appropriate for me to be allowed to use the forums if I owe money. I know some have been let back on payment plans before but I'm willing to prove while still banned that I can meet deadlines on payments.

One thing I ask for - can I post in pardon section when large quantities of the loan are repaid? I would like to keep both the moderators and general community up to date on my repayments.

I honestly did not expect my first pardon to pass, I more so did it so that I could get everything out onto the table for the community to see (especially the stuff that happened almost a decade ago). I did not know, however, that I could suspend a vote until TTB was paid back. I would have gone this way if I had known about it because I'm confident that I can be debt free in less than the 6 months wait time of a failed pardon owing TTB a pile of money. It will still be a while, and obviously no guarantee I'll be let back even then, but I will be out of debt the next time I pardon. Who knows, maybe even this one would have passed, though when I spoke to Chase and TTB right after posting it I told them I was doubtful, but confident I could clear my name one day. I will patiently await that day.

Lastly, I want to thank the staff for their votes, you have done a good job of being thorough and unbiased. I realize now it's unfair to expect to be let back with such a big question mark lingering. Though this could be proven as an unbanned member just as much of a banned member, I'll admit being unbanned could be a vice to go spend money I shouldn't be spending. Probably best to stay banned for the moment and stay disciplined in repayment.

I would also like to thank the members of the Sythe community who have still given me their business and never thought less of me for my mistakes in the past. There were a multitude of them but nothing that I cannot fix. I am eager to one day hopefully return to you with a fully clear conscience and 0 dollars in loans to my name.

I'd like to apologize to anyone that was a victim of my bipolar / manic depression rage. I get very emotional at trivial things sometimes, and it's easy for that over-emotion to translate itself on the internet where there are no boundaries. After my confession I lashed out at a few people and still regret it. I acted childishly and those people know who they are.

So for now, it's goodbye Sythe. I am grateful that the opportunity to pardon is even here and just want to know if it's okay to post when I pay TTB back on the loan.

Loans and a little bit of context on the situation:

Just so everyone is clear, I owe him 900M RS3 GP for the 2nd loan that was taken. This will likely just be converted to cash equivalency because of the negatively flucuated gold market prices. The 300 dollars cash part of this loan was repaid. This will be covered before Halloween 2015, and I will update staff on a post when the entire 2nd loan I got is covered & settled.

The Jan 2016 loan was 3b RS3 GP that I took to merchant on a mule to help a friend. All of the GP is still in tact and in my possession, which is the good news. The other good news is I still have considerable wealth in game on my main. I just tend to avoid RWT because I still actively play the game and didn't want all of my accounts to get wiped/banned. Also, TTB made it pretty clear he would prefer cash back over GP, just because he bought the GP with real money to get it, he didn't just have 3b lying around. We have all of those exact figures somewhere (amount bought at x price) to refer back to so I can pay him back to the exact cent that he spent. I'll have TTB come up with the numbers again and we'll put a payment plan in place immediately following the 900M RS3 gp being reimbursed.

I planned to double it by Grand Exchange merchanting and while largely successful, I've hit a few snags (like getting scammed for almost 2b during that time, but that's largely irrelevant). In addition, when I do buy gold (it's always for someone else, not personal use), it's in a random location on a random mule with very small amounts being traded. This loan will likely be paid back in a combination of gold and cash. TTB and I will adjust for market inflation/deflation accordingly. My fall-back plan was always just to give TTB all of the gold back if the loan were to mature and I were to fail in getting the real life cash equivalent. I'm just overly paranoid about bans so when I want to finally quit the game, I want to sell it all/as much as possible at once before that happens. I think that's important to realize, because a lot of you know I have a lot of GP so you may be A: Baffled at why I needed a 3b loan and B: Baffled at why I don't just give it all back and be debt free that way. I simply wanted to be operating on an account that wasn't tied to mine and also wasn't risking much (low stats but very old acc, etc).

I've considered both A and B. I took the loan out on a friends behalf. TTB afforded me a lot of time with the loan, so I'm making the most of it now by trying to profit as much as possible on the GE with it and to also make up for gold prices seeing a somewhat hefty drop in value since it was bought (maybe it will go back up towards christmas again so I'm not as pounded on the loss). The reason I'm taking my time with it is because TTB is allowing me time with it. Which I appreciate immensely, but I will also admit that post ban it wasn't as high up a priority as it should have been. I was depressive and mopey about life in general, so while I was still talking to him at the very least once a week, I was offline for days at a time on numerous occasions. I never doubted it would be repaid, I just wasn't as eager as I should have been to get a payment plan in place. That said, I wasn't eager about anything during that time. I was also largely unemployed (doing random small jobs for basically no money) at that time so my motivation was even more drowned out. Then the internships came along in late summer and when my bank started being healthily replenished, my motivation to get out of debt grew immensely. Though most of this went to school, the circle of life (or drowning college debt).

Those are the full parameters behind the two loans, my reasoning and mindset on solving those debts, and why I did what I did in terms of taking the money. I was strained financially because of school payments, rent being increased by almost 3x, and all of the other costs associated with being an adult. TTB was gracious enough to front me at this time (the Jan '16 deadline loan being for a friend, the second loan being purely for me).
