What to do nowadays as far as money making goes?

Been away from the business for awhile, have a lot of free time on my hands and some startup money. Been looking into some markets... I'm primarily interested in something that can be farmed such as gold.

Both the WoW market and the Runescape market seem to be on the decline, so much that for me to reenter the market now wouldn't seem like a wise decision.

So, without revealing any massive secrets, are there any ways to make money anymore with decent return on time invested?





EDIT: Maybe WoW wouldn't be a terrible idea? It's the best i've come up with yet. Hope to sell gold for .7/k, I see many gold farming methods realistically getting 40k gold/hr and thats without running the Auction House and a myriad of other ways to profit gold indirectly.

Edit #2: decided to move away from gaming markets. Finally putting time and effort into something I've wanted to do for a long, long time: essay writing and proofreading.

 

I don't know much about WoW but 2 of my friends who used to farm it have both stopped in the past 2-4 months so I assume their profits dropped a lot to the point where it wasn't worth it anymore or bans went up or something bad happened.

For RuneScape, as you said, since the gold has declined in value a lot this year starting a goldfarm now may not be the best idea. GP is almost at half the price it was at a year ago. As a sort of measure, I make ~1/3 of what I used to make half a year ago botting RS07 due to the increased bans, decreased profitability of methods and declining price of gold. There may be some good news since this week GP went up a bit, but I'm not sure if it's a temporary thing or if it will stay like this/keep going up. I would look into other options such as making accounts and more niche stuff and fall back on goldfarming as a last option honestly.

If you do get into farming, I would suggest to heavily test your method before investing a lot into it so you don't lose your investment. A big mistake many people are making today is assuming bans are how they used to be 1+ year ago and investing hundreds of dollars and getting banned the next day and losing it all.

I hope someone who has experience with WoW comments on how WoW farming is because you've sparked my interest now. :3

 

Maybe CSGO?

 

Farming a private server like ikov could be good. Make anywhere from 1-5m 07 p/h and lower ban rates ( I hope )

 

If not RS, League could be an option. However, the market is very competitive so it would be a struggle at first, to gain ground. Good luck!

 

I'd say skilling services/questing/boostibg/coaching are nice and profitable ways to make money, especially if you are just starting out and have a lot of spare time.

 

Botting if you used good scripts and didn't do the most common things, think out of the box with botting. Many people get banned solely due to the fact they do something everyone does.

 

Do people still buy accounts? I used to make pures but the profit from it wasn't really worth the time invested..

You need to look at what's on the horizon in terms of games and their market potential. For me, I have my eye heavily on Albion. That game seems like it will be a nice cash cow for the first while at least.

 

you should try skilling/questing services, build vouches and than from there learn other ways to make money

 

staking is the fastest way possible to make money in the game, also the fastest way to lose it
