Help. coputer won't open bot

I have a acer with windows 8 and whenever I download any bot I go to open it and it goes into my downloads so I try to open it again and it just keeps popping up asking if I want to open it but never actually opens. I have tried several bots and it's the same result everytime. Any help helps thank you

 

Are these bots made in Java? Do you have the latest JRE installed? Typically bots will have setup instructions available on their respective sites and forums. Sometimes you have to install the JDK and set your environment variables. Anyway yeah, check out the sites for the bots you're using.
