Should i start playing

So iv been hearing about this game for alittle while. Seems that the game came out in 2012. Anyways I'm wondering if its to late to start playing or not? It seems market wise that the game is still very popular but just wanted to get some basic reviews from people that play it. Before I spend the 15 usd on the game and get into it.

Also if someone can explain the basics of what its really about leveling, missions and so forth.

 

Well the good thing about CSGO compared to it's predecessors is that you'll be competitively playing with people who are about as good as yourself. So you don't get disheartened too easily.

The game it'self is still massively popular, I cannot really see a time when the Counter Strike series will die out. The level playing field, requirement for ability only is the reason the game is so popular.

Well one says yes and one says no. Need more peoples thoughts on it. 15 bucks isn't much but don't want to waste the money if a lot of people have bad reviews of the game.

 

If your way of playing games is only by others opinion then expect to waste money in the long-run.

Perhaps ask yourself the question;

Do you like first-person shooter games?

Do you like team-based game-play?

Do you like a clean engine that runs smoothly?

Do you like competitive games?

Do you like games where it takes a vast amount of time and effort to become good at?

If you tick most of them boxes then you'll enjoy the game.

 

I don't really play csgo a lot but I certainly enjoy it whenever I do decide to play, It's probably the best FPS out there that's on the computer.

Do you like playing at your rank but going against smurfs that are far better then you?

Do you like toxic shitlords?

Do you like playing against 70% cheaters?

If yes then play the game by all means


Games pretty bad tho once you step back and look at it for what it is, hell aimware has 20k active subs for csgo alone game is riddled with closet hackers.

as someone who knows people who actively sub and partake in the forums of those sites there is is alot of numbers out there for the amount of people that hack.

Hell there is progress threads for how long people have been actively hacking in ESEA for months.


But to answer your question no i don't call everyone a hacker as i play at GE or over on esea or cevo, but ak-LE is infested with them.

 

Depends on your gaming style.

Are you the sort who loves to play matches which will give you a placing or rank, or are you the sort who wants to play purely for the fun of it?

If you choose the former, good luck to you. If you choose the latter, have some friends join you.

I am the type who loves to play with a competitive spirit, and yes, I've raged countless times and screamed over the microphone due to incompetent team mates or trolls.

However, if you do happen to play ranked matchmaking, do so with a group of friends, you'd have more fun that way and I believe you won't be raging but rather laughing at each other's deaths.

I've personally found that it feels reduced from my days playing CSS competitively. However, it appears that most "cheaters" now only play to have a modest advantage opposed to blatant wall bangs like it was back in the day.

Perhaps my cheats radar isn't quite as competent.

 

for ESEA/CEVO They don't use walls, they use aim assist and aimlock.

For MM they mostly just wall but don't toggle every round it's gone from the days of just a few people spinbotting to people closet hacking.

Like yourself, I started playing CSGO recently after many years of console gaming and I can certainly say that it's much better than call of duty etc.
It doesn't really matter that the game is 3 years old as I think it will be around for many more years.

It's never too late to start playing a game. If you like Counter-Strike I'd recommend you buy it, but it is never going to be the same game as 1.6 or Source (Oldskool forever) since there are also way more kids playing this game (skins yaay..)
If you're still not sure, then buy it and try it. Sh4rky77 is selling CSGO gifts for 7$, so it's not the end of the world if you find out you don't like the game anyway.

 

Cs go is a pretty good game, highly competitive, you should give it a try yes there are hackers in mm even esea here and there but just report them lol, is not like you would get a hacker every game and some hackers you can still beat them as long as you have a pretty good game sense and good aim, and know where to pre-fire. For example at lower ranks hackers are really stupid they just rush out trying to get frags because they think aim assist is unbeatable but if you shoot b4 them you can kill them, I've done it im sure you can too. Plus knowing you are good without cheats is all that matters, im sure people not cheating have more fun than people who do cheat since they are actually learning stuff. Another tip buy cs go from g2a is cheaper than steam or you can wait for cs go to go on sale. In addition some people may look like cheaters at lower ranks but can be smurfs, you can report them just in case it doesn't hurt, but if you are serious about just review the demo, with x-ray on then you will know for sure who is hacking and who isn't, must be aware of sound, game sense, radar,etc.

 

OP give us an update, you said you were going to try it out.


Its alot different than other shooters, thats what alot of people like about it.
