Splashing/AFK NMZ Nerfed

Apparently it was just announced on stream. Guthans and Smoke Battlestaff are already crashing hard, lol.

Thoughts?

 

It's about fucking time. I was wondering how long they were going to drag this along.

 

I don't really mind, I've never utilized either of these methods.

It was just recently nerfed or will be in the future? I don't really see the point they fucked up their old game lots of people had their desired skills on now they're making it harder to regain pking stats. Kinda stupid either way already splashed to 99 magic on my zerker.

 

That they removed the ability to AFK. If you leave your computer for a period of time, your character will stop moving.

there surely must be a way to still stay logged in right? maybe make some small autoclick bot and stay logged in

 

Just tried it you actually have to click a monster. This makes splashing very easy all you have to do is set it to autoclick every say 20 minutes or so and you'll restart your interaction and it'll just be like normal splashing. As for nmz it kind of sucks since I've been working on maxing an account but I'll probably just bot now. Poor Jagex making stupid decisions. "we want to return integrity to the game" alright then I'll just gold farm the shit out of your game instead of afking nmz and being a gold sink.

In addition why would they do this now after two embarrassing coin duplication glitches and runescape gold being at an all time low.. they proceed to ruin their best gold sink.

 

So there's no way to actually afk guthans? At all?

 

Working on it I'll let you know. You could potentially set up an autoclicker, smack yourself up again a wall and hope there's a monster there where you're clicking when you click.


Edit: if you move at all it restarts your character and he will continue to proceed like normal.

 

Appreciate it a lot. So all the auto clicker has to do is once x amount of time to walk back and forth? (so it gets back to the good spot)

 

I believe so if you set up some sort of long term mouse macro where you walked various point during like a 3 hour session and it just sort of repeat it potentially with some camera rotation you'd never be logged out. Whether I'll continue on this path or afk with some other method or just give up on the goal all together I don't know. I don't want to get distracted from school since it's my #1 priority

 

I'll wait until someone finds a proper way to do it (the method itself didn't get patched which is really good, means you can still do it) I'd try botting but that's so risky and it would suck to get a max main banned.

 

Yeah agreed. Like you could go down to 1 hp and proceed to autoclick rapid renewal but I feel like you'd get banned pretty fast that way.

 

Finally, good decision by Jagex. Does suck that I can't splash on my pure while I'm school tho lol
