Why is OSRS GP dropping so quickly?

Title says it all. I know there have been dupes in the past, but why is it still dropping?

 

There could be dupes out their right now that only a few people know about, not many people can answer why it's dropping this much.

 

I mean there are a lot of factors i would imagine. Could be dupping glitches, people going back to school (Less time to play), less bots getting banned, who knows.

 

People say it's because runescape is dying but that's not the case why 07 is dropping. There has been a large portion of gold brought into the market from bug abusers. There has been the corp glitch, rat pits glitch, platinum tokens glitch, ect. And I'm sure there's more.

 

Dupes. RS3 remains steady because the team is large enough to catch glitches before they're exposed

 

Non combat bots I would say are ruining the game, just look at shark prices. They are at an all time low. On top of that there has been some recent glitches ingame

 

All of the things mentioned above combined is why the GP is falling

 

Dupes, and various other things. A big part in the continual decrease may be competitor merchants dropping prices to compete with each other.

 

I am sorry but if your brother told you there are around 20-30 active players, he is wrong.
You believe what you want.

The most recent reasons I know of for the drop within the Gold prices for 07 are as follows:

- Zulrah (Excessive members caused the prices to plummet when doing it, they will go up soon when zulrah calms down which with the new boss it shouldn't be too hard).
- Invincibility Bug (Mod Reach Released a while back).
- Exploit in which duped items (this was done within the rogue dens area).
- Gold Farmers (I've had conversations with some who run around 800+ bots with an income in which hasn't got an estimate but it's over $2k P/M ; along with their private methods of money making.

 

Jesus christ how does he have 800 bots running and he doesn't get banned lol..

 

It's just too easy to make money on old school now. When it was $3/m there was far less gold in the game and people still had items to buy and skills to train. Now most players have what they need so there's excess gold in game not being spent on things
