OSRS gold Plummeting

In just 1 week the price of osrs gold has dropped from 1.7/m to 1.5/m on the chinese websites. I believe in a month from now gold prices will be 1.09 - 0.98/m. What are your thoughts on this? Jagex must develop some gold sinks in the game to counter all the gold coming into the game.

 

I believe there was a dupe in Barbarian Assault a few weeks ago which caused the gold price to plummet. Although it has been long since patched, I don't think the prices have recovered.

Problem is JaGeX is experiencing several glitches being leaked. There has been 3-4 to my knowledge that have brought in a ton of gold into the game, more than enough to mess up the market.

There've been a few dupes as mentioned. Hopefully since Jagex actually cares about the gold market as they're selling bonds themselves, they'll make some gold sinks.

 

To my knowledge, they've randomly banned some alts with cash on it. Not sure what purpose it serves as its nothing in the grand scheme of things, but oh well lol.

 

The dupes must be very limited, because if it was a 'true' dupe like the 2012 max cash/money pouch dupe, the price would still not be as high as it is right now.

 

I hope Jagex even consider some gold sink methods, because i cant see any plans for it from them in nearest future. However, without fixing dupes we wont see any improvent at all too..

 

To sell to resellers it's 1-1.1 right now. Crazy

 

Why Plummeting on the chinese websites? Is it exchange rate?

Im living off goldfarming and if prices are going to continue falling i'll have to move, quit studies and go to work... So yeah.. Pretty big impact on me!

Yeah, I sold some gold yesterday and was really surprised at how low it'd fallen... was expecting it to be like 1.2-1.3 at least.
