There is a difference between doing something, and threatening to do something. The threat could've been a joke. That's really up to interpretation. You're interpreting that he did ddos said person because of his past history.

He admits to ddosing his teammates for non malicious reasons. You're arguing that he did in fact ddos other people by linking a post of him threatening to do so.

 

do you really find it believable that he only DDoSed his teammates and only because he wanted them to be quiet? there's an ignore option on teamspeak and that's free and doesn't force you to DDoS anyone lol

Furthermore do you really think people who DDoSed teammates of theirs for petty reasons is someone who should be allowed back?

i'm saying someone who is actually petty enough to DDoS their own teammates for terrible reasons when they could simply use an ignore option shouldn't be someone that anyone wants back

killing your own teammate in the wilderness doesn't really mean shit especially on RSPS where a lot of items aren't worth much compared to the real game, not to mention your stuff will more than likely be given back anyways, and comparing joking around and killing your own teammate in the wilderness to ddosing them because you're too lazy to ignore them isn't really a solid comparison

also obviously there are some people who scammed and got pardoned when they shouldn't have, why does it mean that just because someone was pardoned for a serious offense, people who committed lesser offenses should have no issue being pardoned? saying that he should be allowed to return because some scammers have been allowed to return isn't very logical and if you look at most pardoned scammers they end up banned again anyways, which is why fewer and fewer of them are getting pardoned as time goes by

 

I was talking about runescape, not private servers in regards to killing clan/group members. The reasons may be petty, but they are not malicious, and show no intent of being malicious. I'm just being reasonable here.

You're insinuating that those who have committed offenses in the past will just end up doing them again (you then reference scamming), and therefore should not be pardoned as much.

With that logic.. Should you have been pardoned?
Should Jack Goff have been pardoned?
Should n4n0 have been pardoned?

 

whether you're killing a teammate as a joke on rsps or rs, either way it doesn't really matter, like i said unless it's them backstabbing one another and keeping each others items (which WILL result in them being kicked from said clan), they usually get their items back and it doesn't really mean anything

I also didn't say that people who scammed will always scam again and should be pardoned, I was stating that just because they were pardoned for scamming which may be a more serious offense than that of what Yz8 has done, doesn't and shouldn't set a precedent stating that those who have committed lesser offenses should be pardoned. I was stating that less scammers are being pardoned as time goes on because staff are starting to recognize who will and won't fuck up again, not that no scammers should ever be pardoned, and as a result if one of these malicious users you're saying have committed offenses worse than that of Yz8's, were to try and pardon now, it'd be less likely that they'd be successful. So stating that because scammers have been previously pardoned is more or less a moot point because the likelihood of people getting pardoned for certain types of offenses changes throughout time, as previously pardoned users serve as an example.

 

I didn't say you said those things, I said you insinuated such. You implied that scammers are being pardoned at a lesser rate because some would end up scamming anyways. There is no point in mentioning so if it doesn't tie to your point of not wanting him back just because the offense is of a lower standard.

The killing of associates was just a correlation, and items were given back. It's seen a few times on the rs community channels on youtube. Just because you do things for trivial reasons, does not mean it will transgress overtime.

If you agree that he did not ddos for malicious intent, then it wasn't blackhat related, and yz8 shouldn't have been banned in the first place.

Black hat is used to describe a hacker (or, if you prefer, cracker) who breaks into a computer system or network with malicious intent.

 

DDoSing in any sense is actually considered blackhat while using it against someone's home internet, it's illegal in a few countries and technically the only legal use for a botnet or stresser is testing your own servers/website. It's also not even a little believable that he gained or purchased access to one of these things and used it on his teammates just to keep them quiet when, as already mentioned, all he has to do is right click their name and click the ignore/block/whatever option so he doesn't have to hear them anymore. If he's okay with DDoSing to the extent that he's using it to solve such trivial problems then there's clearly something about his involvement and history with DDoSing that he's failing to mention, and i'd hope most people would be able to realize such a thing lol.
