Thats weird. I am under 18 and have never run into this problem. I even have my own card/bank account linked.

 

You probably will soon, had same issue. They limited my acc, asked for ID. Gave them id and they unblocked it. Few weeks later it got closed and received email saying it was because i was 17 at the time.


As for OP , i don't think there is a way around this.
Maybe you can look into other methods like skrill.
Or ask a good friend to open one under his name.

 

At how many dollars did your account get limited? Now i'm kind of scared to use my paypal as i'm also under 18.

I've had a paypal since I was 16, and never had an issue; however, I had my dad open a bank account and I linked that account. Never transferred money in or out of the bank, so it didn't affect his income at all

 

^^^ As dunworry mentioned, simply linking a bank account should solve your problems, you wouldn't have to withdraw or deposit any money.

 

People who haven't had their accounts limited simply haven't had a high volume of trades come in. I have a bank linked.. As soon as you receive $1k, it gets limited and they ask for id.

 

They locked my account cuz when I received $2500+ in a short period of time they wanted my ID. When checking my ID they found out I was < 18 y/o when I made the account (which was like 6 years ago) and still decided to lock it just because I agreed to their Terms of Service when I was < 18 y/o. Look into how BTC works and start using that imo.
