93gp to ??

I have decided to stop with my goal, to pursue a staker.. Thanks for the support that everyone has given me, and I ended up with just over 11m in 25 days!

Hey Sythe.

After having quit the game and selling my accounts, I've decided to return with a side project. A video appeared in my YouTube recommendations which gave me the idea to try this on my own. The only change I am making is that I am starting with 93gp. (93gp is the money you have if you collect the 25gp from your bank, and sell all your starting items to the general store)

I intend to log my progress in this thread for 1 month (starting today, probably at the end of each day) and see how much money I end up with in a month. I have also had no real experience with flipping in the GE, but have previously merchanted prior to the release of the GE. I will also only be logging in to the servers a few times per day (I have study commitments), and wont be doing anything else except flipping on the account.

I've created this thread mostly for myself as a way to track my progress, but also to share my progress to everyone else.

(I'm going to block out the items that I'm flipping, obviously because I do not want competition but feel free to pm me any helpful suggestions for items to flip!)

End of day 1. Starting off was very hard, just trying to find an item that I could buy with 93gp to turn a decent profit. I would say my average profit margin per item is about 25%, so the money is slowly starting to come in. I've also planned ahead on a few items that I will be buying over the next few days

End of day 2. Still very slow, haven't really spent much time finding items today or really checking up on the account. Still happy I've gained 50k today.

End of day 3. Very happy with my progress today. Found an item that flips very quickly, for a decent margin (anywhere from 5-20 gp) and is cheap. Will probably use this until I hit around 300k, then I'll move on to something else!

End of day 4. Big gains today, and it seems like every day I'm at least doubling my money which is great.. Hopefully it continues but I know that it wont

Not really much progress today, I flipped a few items but was pretty busy with study so I didn't check in on it much.

Big progress today, aimed for 750k total but went even further than that. Shouldn't have any trouble selling the items I'm flipping so will definitely have a 1m cash stack by the end of tomorrow.

It's the weekend so I'm not really checking in on my flips.. Still made profit.

Actually went backwards today.. I WOULD have made 1.5m profit today (this was a guarantee) but I accidentally spent 2m on the WRONG ITEM (I actually clicked the wrong item in the GE and didn't realize.. Drastically overspent on the item and bought out the entire stock for 20x what it was worth).. Anyway, ended up deciding to cut my losses (they were never going to sell back at the price I bought them for) and lost 1.5m.. So my actual cash stack should be 6M but oh well, I guess these things happen!

Decided to add in a competition.. I usually keep my game/private/trade etc on "off" but I'm going to put my trade "on", and I'll always be in my clan chat if I'm online.. If you find me on world 386 at the GE and trade me at any point in the next 15 days, I'll give you a 1m stack of cash! I've added my costume in the upload for today, and my username is somewhere in the spoilers to one of the other days.. Good luck *side note: my account is perm muted from back in 2009 RS, so I can't reply in CC but if you find and trade me I'll still give you the cash until someone has claimed it!*

Goodluck with this! Heard a lot of stories that A Friends one was fake.

 

I saw a lot of posts on his first video saying that it was fake, and that it was all set up but I can tell you that it's possible, but very very slow.

I will post pictures when I return home from work, but I'm sitting at around 50k after one night (very very very slow, but finding initial items to flip with 93 coins is an effort in itself)

Can't imagine how painfully slow it is at the beginning. Assume its something along the lines of getting 99 in anything.

 

I made 50k in 24 hours, basically I'm buying items that give me anywhere from 1-100 gp profit each. But I can only buy like 10-20 of these items at a time because my cash stack is so low.

It's painfully slow

 

Go to Stronghold of Security and collect your 10k.

 

Getting money from the Stronghold or picking up ashes and selling them to the GE or doing any skilling/money making apart from flipping defeats the whole purpose of what I'm trying to achieve.

This is actually very interesting and Iv been wanting to watch someone's progress in flipping to see how much money flipping can actually make.
