I have a question about my elo

I'm currently Silver 5, haven't played ranked at all until recently and I've been ranked silver since about season 3ish I think. Before then I never played ranked.

I've played a lot of ranked recently and I've come to realize that my elo is terrible. I've played multiple games where people consistently feed the enemy team. I've had junglers constantly gank my lane even when asked not to, and die to my lane opponent, I've had people roaming just come fuck up my cs (don't get it themselves) and just walk out of lane like nothing happened. I try to ping my team/communicate with them through chat to tell them what we should/shouldn't do and I get ignored and they start a team fight and we all die. (I don't want to leave them hanging in case I'm really needed).
I ping let's not do baron but finish the game, they choose baron and die to it/the enemy team. I say back off because someones ult is up and they engage.
Honestly I'm not the strongest early game laner, but I make up for it in cs/not feeding.

What can I possibly do to win more games? I try to accustom myself to my teams needs, but it seems not to work out 9/10 times. Any suggestions?

I have a question about my elo

There, I fixed it for you. Now it doesn't sound like the literally millions of times this exact post has been made on various forums.

You need to start looking at your own weaknesses if you want to improve. It seems frustrating when other players do poorly but there's literally nothing you can do about that. And it happens on the enemy team just as much if not (statistically) more.

If you want actual advice, critique yourself and practice. There are a lot of great players here who can give you solid advice but until you can accept responsibility for yourself you're going nowhere.

Agreed with sypherz. I have a silver smurf (I'm only plat, so not super impressive) and most of the time I play TF mid ( I don't main mid, or play TF at all) and I just win because I wait for the other team to fuck up. And people in low elo mess up a LOT lol Like not even exaggerating but I win a lot of games in low elo because the other team hands me the game and I'm able to take advantage of it. The truth is, the match making system probably has you in the right elo and the only way to improve is to look at yourself. You're probably pinging, or making calls, that you think are correct but could be just as detrimental and you should think about that. When I was silver a couple years back I had games where I was hard core carrying and I would die late game just once or make one mistake and we would lose. What I did was realize that it's on me to not die, and to reduce the chance of making mistakes like that. Everyone is responsible for the outcome of the game, be apart of the winning outcome by focusing on how you play and how your enemy is playing, not how your teammates are playing.

It's not always your team. If you're unable to carry consistently despite "your team" doing bad then you deserve to be in that division. The only way to get better is to play. ALOT. There are no shortcuts in getting better.

I have a question about my elo

That's my point though, I never play to carry. I play to kite/peel/defend my carries. I play tank junglers/top lanes. I don't see myself as a carry as I don't try to be. I try to help out the team and feed my carries. It just happens more often than not that they end up trying to be Gosu or someone of that caliber and get stomped 4v1.

I'm not saying it's all my teams fault, but honestly hOw can I tank/peel for people who can't capitalize?
Just last night I was told "you're not a tank because your health isn't above 5k". I couldn't possibly have had anymore armor/magic resist stacked on top of my health.
Should I possibly stop trying to support my supposed carries and parctice carrying myself?
I see myself as viable on my team whether I'm fed or not, simply with the Champs I play and the builds I use. But it's a tad annoying when I get destroyed by a 23-2 Diana as a full tank Vi.

I have a question about my elo

Ok so here are my beliefs on my pros and cons.
Pros: Play support junglers/can peel for my carry.
I'm good at choosing which lanes to gank
I feel like I'm good at shot calling
    My early/mid game is strong
    I ward consistently

    Cons:
If I get behind I'll most likely stay behind
I make POOR decisions when in a behind situation
    I engage prematurely without backup
I rage when people do thinges when we asked them not to
I don't try as hard when people before game/in game on my team piss me off
I try to make flashy plays and sometimes (a good bit) do the opposite
I misconceive the enemy teams damage
I try to make picks on solo Champs and end up dying for nothing

I'll post more as I notice

I have a question about my elo

If you actually want to get better, just play with people who are actually better than you a lot more, and ask them to tell you how to improve in game. They can actually tell you how shit you are and show you where you can improve much easier and in a much more effective way than the people who consistently say "its not the elo's fault its yours." Granted most of the time its true but that barely fucking helps.

Plus its hard to look at your own weaknesses when Riot doesn't even implement one of the most crucial things needed to do that - a replay system. So other players telling you and reminding you what you need to do during the game is very effective, unless you have a hard time taking advice.

That's a little easier said than done. I have a lot of friends who play League, but all they play is ranked. I'd prefer to learn my mistakes/have a team in normals or ranked 5s.

Since I don't know what the chatroom is for finding a team anymore, it makes it a little harder to find someone better than me, willing to play with me.

play carry champions. you can definitely carry effectively through any role, but looking at it from an outside perspective, some roles certainly are favored like mid and adc

I have a question about my elo

Well, I never play the tank(slave role which I like to call it). Try playing something that will hard carry. In Sliver Elo you can just win by split pushing, people generally in that elo don't understand what to do/deal with it. Playing Tanks means you have to have trust within your carries to deal all the damage and have good positioning. Myself personally never trusts anyone with the main damage source.

I have a question about my elo

I'm not a high elo player but I'm Silver/Gold range so I can kinda help.

I noticed that once I stuck to 1/2 roles, I climbed pretty quick. For the other roles, I played 1-2 champs that can carry in that role.

Champs like tryndamere, jax, udyr, etc. that can split push will win you games.

I'll try split pushing junglers then, I used to main Udyr/noct/Lee but recently I've been playing tanks. It's fun (I guess), I just hate losing, and of course I get blamed for everything as jungle is my main role.

The way I look at it is if someone on the other team can get fed quickly, why can't you? Also make sure you're csing - anything under 60 at 10 is bad (unless jg/sup ofc).

Play carry champs if you think you're better than the elo you're at. Basically you're there for a reason, and it's not your team.

I have a question about my elo

Stop caring about wins and losses is my advice. Focus on improving yourself as a player.

YOURSELF as a player, not your teams. Focus on the mistakes you make, nobody ever has played a perfect game. Sure, top lane going 0-4 in laning might have had a large effect on the loss, but if you leave the game just salty about top lane, then that game hasn't improved you one bit.

You gotta look at your playstyle. Am I ganking enough? Having enough map pressure for the type of champ I'm playing? Keeping up with my buffs/the enemies' buffs, scuttle crabs, neutral objectives? How good is my smiting? What am I doing in teamfights? Watch replays of yourself and look at the game more objectively. Get a mentor jungler who is even plat v+ and is willing to watch you play the game. (plat 5 is already top 10% of the league population which I think is more than good enough to help someone in the bottom 50%).

Through your initial post, you seem to be too tunneled on your team's mistakes. Realize that you are in that elo because you belong there. If you have played a significant amount of games without climbing, you deserve to be there.

That means SOMETHING has to change for you to move up. Your teams won't change - they will remain consistent at every elo. You cannot rely on your team to feed/not feed. What has to change is YOU.

I'd offer to play with you, but I'm washed up to shit that I hate playing League. Download a replay system - I think I used LoL Summoner Info worked pretty well. Just look at your mistakes and write down key mistakes. Honestly one of the biggest mistakes I always remembered when I played with my idiot friends is they waste time at every little fucking step in the game. From buying to jungling, or waiting for ganks.

Being active on the map is one of the most crucial areas of improvement every player needs to take hold of. If you waste 1 second in base you could miss 1 creep that 1 creep makes you waste 10 more seconds on a different back as you wait to buy something which causes you to miss a team fight, which your team loses. It just snow balls. I learned this a lot from playing StarCraft II but you simply can't waste time, and one of the biggest areas and problems for mongoloids is TYPING IN GAME. Stop fucking doing it, its pointless and tilts/wastes everyone's time.

I'll look for a working LOL replay, didn't think of that but it makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I've been trying to keep my cs up, even in the jungle, to make up for any kills the enemy team may have. I played 2 games as Yasuo mid and we won both of them. I may practice him more and more because even though their ADC was fed, they couldn't beat me. Split pushing as him is insanely fast as well, can damn near 1v1 anyone based off of my cs alone with him, not to mention getting kills. I think I'll be practicing the mid-lane more than the jungle now, as I have been doing very well.

I have a question about my elo

I'm a diamond player and I have played in many different elo's.
People think that they can go even with their lane opponent, play passive, and cs and win the game off that.
    That's honnestly wrong.
It is extremly easy to win a silver game as the enemy team will not know how to react to a fed person.
The way to play, in low elo, is make agressive but controlled plays.
If you do that and do that consistantly, you won't have to worry about elo, as it will come naturally.

Look at your mistakes, accept them, work on them, oh and most of all keep calm! once you lose your cool bad decisions start happening. I got from B5 to S3 based on carrying and keeping cool, you can not control your team but you can control yourself. Elo is a way of saying how many mistakes YOU make, the higher the elo the less the mistakes.
