Cap post count for new members

Every new member is posting on Sythe like no tomorrow to farm a lot of post count. The things that they post is for the sole purpose for post count, and they don't care if they're spamming the forums.

For the people that think "Well the things they post are on topic to the thread, and it contributes to the thread" look through their posts and you'll see that the things they'll contribute a serious reply to maybe 5-10 threads, but throughout all of their posts you'll notice a lot of spam.

Not only did that person only post that he's multiple people on the thread, he posted that the user is a ban evader. Both of those posts could've been one thread in RAS if he was an actual ban evader, instead he posted twice to get two free post count and didn't help the community by potentially letting a ban evader stay on Sythe, and just spammed on the threads.

 

What a fucking stupid idea. If someone makes a dumb post, report them.

 

You honestly think people are going to report 40 posts? People are only going to bitch and gripe about them spamming, but won't report it.

 

This forum needs activity. The last thing we need to be doing is restricting post count. And also, what counts as spamming post count? Are you spamming post count since you have more than 4 times my posts but joined later than me? It's just about how active you are without spam.

 

Just report a post and ask the moderator to review all recent posts / say they posted 59 times today. It's easy for the staff to select all or some of their recent posts and delete if needed. Imposing caps would be subjective and not truly necessary.

 

This... we do this a lot... it is not hard for us at all and all you have to do (many times, you don't have to, because we do it anyways) is report 1 post and say "mass-spammer"

No support, although I understand where OP is coming from.

I've had to report some posts multiple times because the moderators handling them were either incompetent, or simply retarded. I guess reporting with the phrase; "please delete this, and all replies after it for spam" doesn't make it clear enough for the moderators. They just delete the one you reported and call it a day.

 

No support, I would like to see this forum as active as possible, if someone is spamming or breaking the rules you can report them.
