I was a very known dicer on the donator dice lounge thread, for paying out thousands and thousands of dollars and RSGP equivalent. This one time, where I came across as a scammer, is where I told CoinKing (who I 'scammed') that if he won, I would pay him 50m 07gp (around 3$ at the time) and if he won, he would pay me $150. Anyway, he won; and when I checked my bank account, I only had $150 and offered to pay him $150, and apologised that I couldn't buy the RSGP because a friend who usually sells it me had just gone off, and for him to wait till the following morning for me to put some more money in the bank to buy more RSGP because it was late at night on a bank holiday weekend. Anyway, CoinKing refused to be patient, and reported me as a scammer 30 minutes later. I then found out I was banned by Ryan 'Entrr' as a precautionary banned. This effected me heavily as I was a 50$ donator, so most people would sell me gold via paypal for slightly cheaper prices. As I was banned, I was forced to pay around 3.8$/M, costing me a lot more than it should've if I wasn't banned, and if CoinKing was patient. I then received lots of abuse from CoinKing, being called autistic, spastic etc etc, and simply thought ' you know what, i'm no scammer, but fuck this guy, i'd rather be banned'. I know this is the wrong attitude, and I knew this at the time. I was a $50 donator, had a brilliant reputation with mods and admins such as Roary and Unb4nn3d, and had my own middleman service in which i'd middlemanned many trades ( http://www.sythe.org/middleman-forums/1729059-50-donator-svu-boostings-free-mm-service.html ). I have decided to come back to sythe (hopefully) and start a fresh, in hope to build the reputation I started to build, along with carrying on my high-repped Barbarian Assault service in which I started.

I have posted above the events that took place. As for the reason I should be forgiven, I had paid out many, many dice duels worth way over the amount 'scammed'. I was just pissed off at the time that I had received a pre-cautionary ban simply because of somebody's lack of patience. It's not in my nature to scam, nor is it in my nature to be angry; but this was a one off, and I felt there was no going back after I had refused because of CoinKing's rudeness towards me. I have recently been looking at Sythe, noticing the market is still booming, and really would like to come back and start fresh as Boosting Hell. I am sad for what I have done, and know that I can make the huge impact in the marketplace that I did before I left, and be a proper member of sythe.

We will probably get you to repay a portion of his scams rather than pay him directly since he is banned for scamming a substantial amount.

 

Any update on who I need to pay the 50m 07 to that CoinKing scammed?

 

I just told him to pay one of CoinKing's victims. He's looking through the reports to find which one is active, and he will give the money to whoever responds first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but generally the amount refunded has to be calculated based on the $ value of the gold at the time. In this case it would be $150, while he only refunded $60 worth.

Meh that sucks.. Only thing I could possibly do is pay someone back in installments when I do services, otherwise I can't afford it irl atm, lost my job and i'm in no financial situation to pay back. I was told 50m 07 was fine to pay back and now it's getting changed to 150$.

The point is, at the time of the 'scam', CoinKing refused 150$, which is what I was offering to pay. He refused and demanded 50M 07, and gave me abusive messages because I didn't have the correct amount in the bank to buy the 50m, as it was a misunderstanding and I thought he would be fine with $150 at the time. As I was then banned as a precaution, I couldn't buy gold so I couldn't pay off the debt, as well as the fact he was rude and he annoyed me, as mentioned in my pardon. This is why I feel like 50m 07 is what I should pay back. I also understand TTB's point, but you have to see it from my angle.

 

As I said, I lost my job. So for me to get turned down now because of not paying back correctly after agreeing 50M 07 was correct (as it was initially my side of the deal with the initial scam) is a real shame. Maybe its a breakdown of staff communication ? I don't know, but like I said it's a shame that I was told if I pay this I would receive a fair pardon request; only to be decided against and made to pay more.
I received 4/4 supports before TTB said this, and my pardon hopes were looking positive and I was looking forward to continuing on Sythe as initially planned prior to the scam, so a lack of staff communication stopping me would suck.
If my words aren't going to change a thing and i'm forced to pay 150$ despite 50m being my side of the bargain, then i'm sorry but this is physically impossible for me at this moment in time. I would if I could, but I can't. If you could agree for me to pay installments when I complete services, i'm up for that, but I think that would also suck too.

Is that really fair though? I was told 50m 07 was fine by a Global, to then be told I can't. I was planning to make back my money by doing services because I have no money IRL. Instead, you let me pay back what I paid to expect to have a fair pardon, and now you change your mind?

Can I be allowed to pay back in installments please? I have shown good intentions and I got 4/4 support until you decided to change how much I have to pay back..

The staff have discussed the situation and would like to apologize for the miscommunication. The amount owed is $150 USD. You have repaid 50M RS2007, which we will value at the price you paid for the gold (I've heard $72). I will not dispute that valuation.

That means the outstanding debt is $78.00 USD. Please continue to pay off the outstanding debt. If you need time to pay, that is alright, we will grant you more time. You have demonstrated a willingness to repay your debts which is an admirable quality. However, a staff error does not absolve you from repaying the remaining balance.

Once the final $78 USD is repaid we will reopen this for voting.

 

Just a final thing, I asked Shin if this was possible and he suggested that I asked.

Could I offer 3 of my mini-ranks on 'Boosting Hell' (Le monkey, mushy monster & fry) as a 78$ repayment if agreed with by a person scammed by CoinKing? As you mentioned (r2pleasent); I have shown willingness to pay back, and as I can't physically pay IRL cash as I have little to nothing, this would be a good/smart alternative if accepted?

 

Banned users lose rights to min-ranks and unless I am wrong they arent worth anywhere near $78 anyways. Note I could care less about keeping up with mini rank prices.
