Is RSGP a good investment?

Is it worth investing money into RSGP and then selling it for a higher price?

A real job has so many more benefits, honestly I never thought merching RSGP was ever worth doing, even for those with the biggest businesses.

 

Just don't. Doubt that you have any experience in it. People will screw you over with PayPal chargebacks.

 

No. The prices are pretty unpredictable. You never know if a bug will be found and abused, you never know if an update that impacts the price could happen. If you want to flip gold, go for it, but long term investing isn't wise on a game. The price of gold you buy at and sell will also vary. Trusted users get their gold at a great price compared to what you probably could get it for.

 

There are much better things you could do with your money

 

I don't physically involve myself into any of that, but just from knowing the swapping aspect and how that stuff effects the constant rate changes, I can tell that investing RSGP and selling etc is, 1) a dodge business, 2) not always safe to involve yourself into, when people say paypal chargebacks etc, 3) jagex banhammers, 4) building a rep and gaining trust is harder, due to the dodge business, 5) unstable, very unstable within the rates of buying/selling.

Hence why simply swapping gp, is only profit when people wish to swap, and people will always wish to swap with how unstable Jagex is. (Minus the effect of GP rate's crashing).

 

I can only see the price of rsgp continuing to drop. Wouldn't make any long-term investments if I were you, flipping it might work out though.

 

The only good thing to do would be to swap and not buy and resell gold.. The reason is because of Disputes via paypal and the crash of gold. Not worth it anymore.

 

Runescape gold will never be a good investment because of a multitude of negative factors that impact the supply and demand of it on a daily basis. If another duplication glitch is found, you could lose money, if you get banned after buying all the gold (your investment) you lose money, everyday more and more gold is entering the economy and currently there are not many new players joining runescape (demand), so if supply is increasing and demand is decreasing it can only mean one thing, it's losing it's value on a daily basis.

 

Way too much risk for the reward.

 

You're better off investing in gold & silver. RSGP is unpredictable.

 

there is allot of rsps server .. and its hard to sucess u would need allot advertise to make ur name on the server..

 

At this point no, rs07 gp has been crashing weekly and the margins for it are very bad so any profit you would make would be very small. To make even somewhat of a profit you would need a lot of cash to invest in the gold to buy it for cheaper and to sell it for more.

 

There are better things to invest in than virtual currency on a game with questionable staff imo.

 

Nope, it won't work like that unless you have a gold shop or farm your own gold.

 

so? if you buy rs 07 or rs3 gold most likely will drop in price?

to risky to invest i was thinking about buying a little myself don't have much now?

 

The profit margin just isn't high enough to justify the risk.

With so many potential scammers out there, i would say no.

 

I don't think this is even worth discussing, since 2007, rsgp has fallen in price monthly with very few exceptions
