Closing Skype Accounts

I know certain users have done it on here before, had impostor skypes of theirs closed etc. I figured it would be even easier to have a skype account closed if it was your own.

Was hoping someone could instruct me as to how to go about deleting a skype account you own, I have an old one from years ago that I don't use anymore and i'd like to have it closed.

Please do not suggest one of those skype banning services or whatever they're called either.

 

Did you try talking to their livechat

 

How would I go about doing that? On their website under 'Help' it only gives me an option to email them or go to a support page where i'm given two options, neither of which really fit the nature of my request (there's an "Account and Password" option but it looks like that's for account recovery.) When I click 'Help' and 'Go to Support' via skype it just redirects me to the same area of the website.

 

Sounds like you need to have skype premium, or be in some similar situation where you're sending skype payments to have access to the live support.

Emailing may be worth a shot.

 

I'll give it a try but i've never heard anything remotely decent about Skype email support lol. :s

Think you have to log in, then it gives you access to live chat

E: I remember there being something funky about the support selection, like they only offered live chat for certain problems, so might have to play around a bit, just checked and their live chat is online though.
