Created a lure.

I created a lure that I feel has a very high success rate but I'm very inexperienced in the world of luring. I have worked out all of the kinks and now i just need to figure out how to get someone there and actually drop their stuff. How do people get others to follow them and drop their items. This is an original lure that i have yet to see anyone post. I think I created it.

 

You need a talker, somebody to convince them that dropping their items will benefit them. I could do the talking if needed @shoot me a pm with ur skype if needed.

Basicly the talker convinces them by telling them you will avoid losing ur items by using this way, but dont worry drop ur items, he will pay u then just pick em up again. Thats where ur turn comes where the lure will be performed and before he knows, he has lost his items :d

 

People aren't dumb anymore the moment someone mentions 'bring your best items' or 'drop your items here' anything along those lines it pretty safe to say a scam/lure is being taken place.

 

Luring is pretty much dead now. Players are experienced overall for the most part

 

You need the victim to think he is anti luring you for him to drop his items. 1/10 times greed will take over common sense and you'll make some cash.

 

Like people have already said luring is pretty dead now. You gotta find someone really inexperienced to pull it off on and chances are they don't have enough wealth to even bother with.

 

Although most of the community have grown up from 13 year old kids who get easily lured (back in 2011), to 16-17 year old teenagers who are a bit more knowledgeable, it could still be done if you had a good talker. You could give it a try yourself though, just know that there is a much less success rate.

 

I've lured ~45-60b Rs3 myself and have been a part of the luring community for over 2 years. Although I've lured very little on 07 I'm sure I could make a script if it's good enough. Feel free to pm me or add me on Skype if you want.

Do people that play old school (avg. age 19+) really still fall for this stuff?

 

A lot of people can fall for it, because it makes them feel smarter thinking that they're outsmarting the lurer.

Even though the average player base is older, you could still find players aged 13-16. I would personally target these players or players who are older, but are just plain stupid. You would definitely need a convincing talker but don't use the same old script: "This guy tried to do the same lure on me yesterday! You could anti-lure him for 25m". Spice it up and make it sound more realistic such as: "Hey, you know that's a lure right" "Lol, just go along with it for the laughs, you could record it and put it on youtube" "You might be able to even get some money out of him haha, just don't go down the stairs (or whatever it is)".

 

I think its less of falling for the lure and thinking they can outsmart the scammer and actually make it out with a reward, but thats where the lurer makes a profit by thinking ahead of their victim and having them fall in their trap.

 

Practice your sweet talking, lure them by giving them what they want to hear.
