Should i live at home or on campus?

The college i plan i go to is about a ~20 minute drive away from my parents house atm. Should i get a dorm on campus or stay living with my parents? ( free rent and food)? TBH I don't mind staying here, would be less of a hassle.

 

While it may seem like less of a hassle to stay at your parents house, you'll really miss out on a lot of the college experience by not staying in the dorms. If you can afford it, I definitely recommend that you stay on campus.

 

What Time to Buy said, if you can afford it, definitely live on campus. There's a lot of scholarships out there as well so i'd look into that.

Live on campus. A huge part of university is establishing and maintaing connections throughout life. You make a shit ton of these connections in the dorms and being freshmen together. It's much harder otherwise

 

Guys I really disagree with most of you, if the campus is that close to your house, you should stay in your house and saving the money you will spend on renting a dorm, after couple of years it would sum up into a good amount of money to begin your life with, to travel and begin your life somewhere else if that is desired.

College life is fun and nice, I always talk about the importance of this experience, but that is only if you are going to a different country/state to study. 20 minutes away from home means your highschool environment moved into dorms, you can still mingle with the people and enjoy life,go out, go club,get drunk as fuck, fuck or get fucked idc ... just do ure thing

but in the end, once all that fun is over, if your family aint rich as fuck you gotta start building your independence, put that money you saved from missing out on the dorms into a sexy ass computer and sexy ass furniture when you move into your own apartment which is next to your new work !

You will definitely enjoy campus life more than living with your parents.

 

You can get this image of what it's like living in a college dorm from movies, and sometimes it's accurate and other times it isn't. I think it really comes down to the school. You also have to consider whether or not you are the type of person who is going to be into the partying, drunken up all night, loud dorm situation. There's no point in spending all that money, if you know that isn't your scene. Another good option to consider, is getting a group of friends and renting a place real close to the dorms.

 

Campus if you don't just want another 4 years of high school all over again. You will literally have no real college experience living at home. Also most importantly, if you want to get laid: campus.

 

Campus def. Home life is boring

 

Campus life is amazing. Don't drink jungle juice at a black dude's party though. You WILL be roofied. Honestly college dorm life is the most exhilarating experience you could ever have. I really don't think you should deprive yourself of such an experience. If you can afford it, definitely live there. Also, your parents( like most) will probably get on your nerves.

 

On campus, that independent life beats everything

 

Living on campus is definitely better than staying at home.
