Run escape just about everyone has a different level account with different wealth and things unlocked. Not fair at all


And the skill level difference between the boosters and casual players for LOL is just too high

 

Concerning the SOTM, I just realised something that might help the situation I explained in the post below, when you guys wanted some input.

People seemed to agree with me and tried to find a solution. Some people said offsite links, some people other things, ... but we didnt find something fast, easy where the users can vote on Sythe.

Why not voting through pms? When you guys create some kind of contest, users need to send their entry by pm... why not do that with voting? I saw that you guys already did an account named SOTM, so why not accept all votings by pm on this account. Nobody will know who voted for who and how many votings there are on each signature. At the end, you could just count the votings. If you want a faster process, I would create folders for each entry in Private Messages and move the PM with the vote to the appropriate entry folder each time a user pms the account. Like that, you could see, at the end, the number of votes with each entry. Hope I helped!

I wrote this on the SoTM thread but I'll post it here too:
Try using some proper punctuation. The thread looks like it was thrown together in a few minutes. Open parentheses, improper capitalization, poor grammar, unprofessional diction. The thread is very poorly structured and thrown together, ironically for a graphics contest. An eye-sore in general. However, the competition will probably pan out in a better sense.

This is a CDT monthly event, try to put some effort into it.

 

Presentation doesn't directly correlate to effort. Individual taste is the issue there methinks.

As for the grammar; we'll take more care in proof reading. Mistakes can happen when you adapt a past thread and delete and rewrite as you go in chunks or what have you, just slip a PM off to the account that posted it with any alterations you think are necessary

 

^This. The person in charge of this did a lot of work thinking it out and getting everything prepared. There was no lack of effort, although someone should have given it a proof read

 

It might be interesting to do hide-and-seek in Runescape, have you guys considered that?

 

not everyone plays rs, but hide-and-seeks in general might work somehow

I used to host these type of giveaways and it was a lot of fun. The frustration behind it, usually makes the game very intense. As long as clues are given in proper intervals and not too much time is taken between them, it's a good game.

I would suggest TeleTag also. It's much more nerve wracking.

 

Can i suggest a chess tournament but however to remove cheats who use other programmes make the match a 1 mintue blitz match meaning that if someone trys to cheat it will waste too much time and means they run out of time?

 

also bullet is way to fast to appeal to most people. i think we did 5+0 in the past? or 10+0?

 

Personally I love bullet cause it just the right balance for me between blitzing but I still manage to think and come up with plans.

Missed May, June, AND July. What was the point of recruiting more members? I used to be the solo writer of the newsletter I wrote monthly for another forums, and it was always on time. Not even mentioning it was bigger than the last one on here..Pick up the game!

 

We recently had a discussion about Sythemonthly and several people agreed that monthly editions didn't seem like a good idea, it is hard to produce a quality read for everyone only using a month of news regarding the community/site. I think it will become more of a quarterly newspost.

 

Have another 8 ball pool tournament, always had the most participation. I can host part of the prize pool with 8 ball coins. Also allow matchups between PC and tablet users. For example when registering for the tournament there should be an option such as "System of preference" and users can put tablet or pc since I myself and I know others play exclusively on the application.

And @Dil - The site itself doesn't have much news for a monthly edition, and people didn't like the IRL news portion there was.

 

I agree, there's a lot of participation in a 8 Ball Pool tournament & we should have another one. I also agree with Hamouze that there should be a System of Preference. I cannot play 8 Ball Pool with my computer since it's lagging too much so I have to play on the mobile application. I never had the chance to participate in a tournament because of that.

 

I personally think that's just preference, again. I have a mate that can't even play on the iPad and only plays on his PC. I don't see how it can be "easier" seeing as they're the same tables, cues, powers, size, etc.. It's just a matter of how you like to control something, with your finger or with a mouse/keypad.
