    Travelling Abroad

It seems like as time passes people around the world are becoming more adventurous and travelling out of their "home state" often. How many of you have or frequently migrate between different countries and which ones are they?

I recently had my first experience with Travelling abroad in Canada, I've always lived in the U.S.A. and even though almost every state has a different type of atmosphere and scenery. I felt that going out of my home country was a nice and refreshing change of pace.

    Travelling Abroad

Other than quick trips to Canada and various states, I hadn't done a lot of traveling until I was about 16. Then I left on a spontaneous trip to Europe for a week or two with some friends, and I caught the travel bug :p

Since then, I've tried to travel whenever I have the opportunity. I've been to Germany, France, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil and the Caribbean to name a few. It's definitely an eye-opening experience seeing such drastic changes in lifestyle and culture. I'm planning on making a trip to somewhere in Asia in the near future, just have to start planning and gathering the funds.

I'm currently studying abroad this summer in Africa. It's been a great experience thusfar. I think its pretty important to get out and understand the point of view of other people. Most people just sit behind a computer these days

    Travelling Abroad

Traveled for holiday to a few countries. I wasn't paying for it but it felt so relaxing. When I wasn't even a teenager yet, and my life revolving around the computer, when I first traveled to Dubai it was stress free. My life was the computer and not once did I think about it while I was there during the 2 times we went there. Then there's Hong Kong, wasn't really a vacation for me but more for my sisters. It was nice seeing a completely different place. Meeting different people and a new experience. It was nothing like Dubai for example.

Then there's me migrating to a third world country. Along with that the spending changed. Parents divorced, my dad was the rich one and we stayed with our mum with a small allowance from our dad. It's a very different experience. Going from a mansion in a tiny and quiet country in the Middle East (Bahrain) to a house the size of my dad's bedroom. It was an interesting experience, settling down and adjusting was hard. I guess I was a sheltered child and it was a real eye opener living here.

This is an interest topic because I've been considering traveling to other countries on my own for the first time. Airbnb changes things a lot. You could stay in a great home for a fraction of what you'd pay at a hotel and it opens up a lot of possibilities.

    Travelling Abroad

I live in Canada, have been to west coast of the country as well as west and east coasts in the US, been to the Caribbean, Italy, France, and Switzerland.

I don't mind it but I find that if I get bored in a different country it's a lot worse than getting bored here. It eventually turns into anxiety. So, I've felt that leaving for a week or so at a time is best for me unless I were to decide to live elsewhere. Currently looking at living in New Zealand for a bit.

I used to be unable to sleep over at a friend's house when I was younger, like many younger children I suppose. It got better as I aged, but I was never very adventurous.

When I got 16 I left my home for 2 weeks to travel around in the U.K. It was a great experience, and since then I've been travelling all over the world. To me, there's no feeling like the sight of a country where you've never been before as your plane touches the ground.

Currently looking into studying abroad for a year. I'll be applying for the U.S., South Africa or Australia.

I've visited Jordan over the summer for 2 months every year since I was 4. I've also visited Germany, U.K, France, UAE, and Egypt. I'm planning on visiting a few friends in Russia in late July, then in August I'm headed to Jordan again. Russia has been on my list for a while, after that I'm hoping to visit all the Scandinavian countries.

I've visited the US and England. My uncle lived in England and he was really knowledgeable so it was usually interesting. My trips to the US were for hockey so those were always fun.

I have another 2 years of school left, and if I'm still with my gf by the end of it I'd have to talk to her about it. Wouldn't leave without her :p Otherwise, 100%.

I have been fortunate to have traveled quite a bit. My first time out of the country was in 4th/5th grade and I went to Cambodia and Thailand. I visited Canada, England, and France in 7th, Egypt & Jordan in 8th, Mexico in 9th, Turkey in 11th, and then last year I was in France to celebrate the 75 anniversary of Normandy.

All the trips were "vacation-like", but some (Canada, Mexico, England, and France) focused on a vacation. Other trips to North Africa/Middle-East were to visit family who were serving abroad.

Traveling is definitely a great experience and helps open up your eyes to the world.

The only places I can remember going are Paris and Berlin. Both were great. Berlin absolutely pisses all over Paris though. Paris was so over rated in my opinion.

It's one of my life goals/ambitions to travel though and when I see others do it, it is truly inspiring. I reached that point in my life recently where all I want to do now is work the hardest I can, earn as much money as I can, and reward myself in my thirties to travel time.
