PayPal Now Offers Purchase Protection for Digital Goods

The UK PayPal department did this about a year ago

 

There is soo little protection for paypal. They are the most untrustworthy company I have ever used, I don't recommend anyone to use it.
It's better to use Skrill

 

PayPal is chargeback city right now, I wouldn't use it until they changed some of their policies to make sure it can't happen so often.

 

Will always be dangerous whatever they do.

 

This will just make it harder for sellers with a low bank roll to get into any digital black markets since they allocated more power to the buyer. It's not very notable for established shops who are able to take an extra hit once in a while/put in the extra effort to get some disputes closed out.

 

Paypal trying to mediate a digital goods dispute is like a blind person trying to figure out the winner of a race.

 

I've just recently lost two disputes totalling $400, even after giving the epitome of evidence against their claim. ID and all.


It's just stupid, they don't even look at the disputes it seems. On top of that, whenever I lose a CHARGEBACK, I get fee'd $20. They seriously know how to push the ticket.


Really, it is so easy to diagnose whether or not a digital goods claim is false or legit.

 

Hopefully this will improve their customer service with all of us, but I highly doubt it.
