Cure For MERS, Ebola, SARS And AIDS?

Okay, so let's stop here for now. That's a huge claim right off the bat, and they immediately follow up by refusing to provide any substantial or relevant evidence. Not only that, but the cure (referred to within the source article as Kumdang-2, which means "golden sugar" in Korean) was created from "ginseng grown from fertilizer mixed with rare-earth elements and trace amounts of gold and platinum" and has been around since 1996. It is also allegedly a cure for cancer, morning sickness, and harm from computer use. Um, okay? This raises a red flag instantly -- not only do they have the cure for horrible and deadly diseases but they've had it for going on 20 years now and haven't said a word about it until just now? Further research into Kumdang-2 leads to dead-end URLs and ungrounded speculation.

While this is really an incredible claim North Korea will garner no respect and much skepticism until they reveal more information about this mysterious Kumdang-2 that seems to be a private cure-all. Perhaps this is another case of "Look over here, not over there!" that seems to be so common in mainstream media these days. Or maybe just a malevolent taunt directed at South Korea considering their current predicament? Regardless, this seems to be something to keep on the back-burner until more evidence is released or the drug itself is finally demonstrated to be successful. More importantly, what do you think?

Pretty sure anyone with the IQ of a duck can figure out this is not true. They probably know it's bullshit too and are just asking for attention from other nations in hopes that maybe some sanctions will be lifted. All the diseases it "cures" behave completely differently, nothing can do the things it says.

 

the only cure for all of these diseases that i'm aware of is death, and north korea unfortunately has more than its fair share of that :|

Unfortunately this is not the case. Think at least one scientist involved would value their morals more than money and there would be some sort of sharing of information which would lead to eventually a cure being leaked regardless of the intentions of the pharmaceutical companies

 

Like with what Rawamukk was saying, I'm sure it's complete BS. Each of these diseases operates using its own sort of mechanism. Sure, they all are immune related, but a "cure all" is pretty preposterous lol. Plus, the biological mechanisms between curing and preventing something are going to be rather different as well, and for one drug to do that for a multitude of diseases is ridiculous.

As far as cancer goes, I also highly doubt that since advances toward cures/treatments deal with telomeres, which don't really have anything to do with the immune system.

I'd like to know their "studies" behind this "drug". They're probably just as bad as china's "studies" regarding rhino horn being useful in medicine lmao.

 

Well its a huge money involved and that comes along with lying and other dishonour acts.One thing for sure, the science will find cures for those diseases, the real question is when?

yeah, there's definitely huge money involved in pharma. eventually i agree that cures may be found for some of the diseases you listed, but i also wanted to point out there's probably a socially optimal amount of horrible diseases in the world that's > 0; i.e., it's ideal to keep some ebola around because of even more off-topic reasons. can discuss those in another thread or something, but they're in part tied to the fact that drugs are so profitable. similarly, there are reasons that prevent research that is good for mankind from being done.

I had to say something after reading this and thinking about what I have read and looked at previously including pharma companies. Now I don't usually say things about Big Pharma or whatever, but all pharma companies in the U.S. try to patent new medicines that they find and new ingredients for new medicines in the rainforests and many other places that are not in the U.S. If you look at the cost of new medicines and how they operate they are just a business which I know is only concerned with profits but they still charge $1200 to 3rd world countries no matter what. Definitely some truth to it.

 

Eh, not saying it isn't true, but it's very unlikely. I feel like North Korea would find a way of spreading the diseases rather than curing them lmao
