Kind of disappointing entries. Imo there's really only one that is obviously going to win :3
Also, what happened to monetary prizes?

 

When does the voting end?

 

We encourage people of all skill level to participate.

Its not as easy as you'd think to find sponsors for events.
Especially with events that run non stop; to find a sponsor that'll support you as long as sotm runs.

We kind of changed up the way it works so we have a chance for our admins to upload ranks.

What should happen here on out is this.
-SOTM thread is posted on the 1st, it includes last sotm's winner. and receives all new entries for the new month
-We receive entries until the 15th. and then a new thread is posted shortly after showing all the entries and receiving votes
-We will stop receiving votes on the 25th, the next few days will be to tally votes, contact admins to upload miniranks/temp fun rank. and contact the winner in private for next months theme.

I can understand why the entrants' usernames are kept hidden, but why does the vote have to be through PM and not a poll?

Is that even necessary?

 

alot of people who dont know much about graphics design will just look at how many people have voted for what then make their decision based off of that

 

Herd mentality. What bleu said above but not necessarily because they don't understand graphics, just shpeeple following what others vote for subconsciously even if they don't personally agree. Sort of a "Hey this person has more votes than everyone else so they're gonna win so might as well vote for them since if I vote for who I want to win it won't make a difference anyway" when in reality everyone is thinking like that and if people did vote for who they wanted it would make a difference. I've noticed it happening a lot on previous polls.
