Runescape 3 members item in inventory cant use or remove

I recently started playing runescape 3. I used a treasure hunter's key and got a large smoldering lamp. It is now in my inventory and I cannot use it because I'm not a member. The item doesn't allow me to sell it or put it in the bank. What should I do. Other than buy a membership.

 

I'm pretty sure you only have 3 options.

1. Drop it.
2. Buy membership.
3. Keep it.

 

I can't drop it, so that means either get a membership or keep it. Thanks for the help.

 

Getting rid of it by destroying the object is an option.

ok great. in the past i thought you could use a bank deposit box to stick it in your bank but maybe no longer
