Who else wants compensation for DCs

Am i the only one who thinks Jagex is responsible for the dc's. I know some say they cant help someone is ddosing there servers? Jagex is a multi million dollar corporation you would think they could create a way to keep there servers online..

 

I know at least some of the DDOS attacks were done by Lizard Squad, the same people who were able to bring down Xbox live, Sony, Battle.net, etc. If these big companies had trouble protecting themselves against the attacks then Jagex is pretty much helpless... Sure compensation would be nice but I doubt it will happen seeing how Jagex is losing a lot of business from server problems as it is already.

I don't think we need compensation. It isn't their fault, they can't stop the ddosings.

 

they should add a free week members on next purchase of a month membership.

 

Not sure if you pay attention to the streams jagex does but they recently said they switched servers, ever sense then servers have been really bad / dcs >.< old servers were fine but prolly cost more $ >.<

 

It is very hard to mitigate DDOS attacks even if you are a massive corporation. Not much they can really do about it.

 

Jagex cannot control the attacks otherwise they would have stopped it a while back.

However, I'm sure they will suggest an idea which will pay for peoples losses.

 

We need something... It is really irritating trying to train/do services for people when you keep getting logged out every 5min. Plus we pay to play the game and half the time you can't lol.

I am sorry, but what makes you think that they would do it this time around?
I mean, they refused to do it the last 15 times, why now? I get that you are frustrated and I would be as well, but what can we do?

 

The ddosers will get bored, pick a new target and we'll be safe to play again for a few months :0

 

The compensation will be given but I feel like they should be doing something about it. I believe they host their own servers, but I reckon it might be better for them to not host their own ones and actually have a company that specialises in these things deal with ti as Jagex aren't exactly a massive company.

But I highly doubt anyone will get anything back from them.

they have lots of people sending "traffic" o the servers which shut them down.

 

Well i know how a Ddos works lol but thats a major site to take down. Haha you would think they would have Ddos protection

 

I would be fine with even a week of free membs. It's a bit ridiculous if they don't do something for membership subscribers. Yes, it may not be their fault, but how long is this going to last for? People are unable to play a game they pay for. How fair is that?

 

They are not even as strong as some other groups (Red Laster for example) who brought League of Legends and major gaming websites down in seconds because "why not?"

 

Are we SURE it was Lizard Squad and not some kiddie scripters this time? I don't see anyone from Lizard Squad claiming responsibility on Twitter like last time.

 

They've successfully knocked down EA, XBox Live, and Sony's servers for quite some time, they still do it for "fun".
