Question about bans on rs

If you get banned on rs, is there any email or anything you cant contact them with?

 

No, they removed it unfortunately . There is a form somewhere on the runescape site where you can appeal though, unless they removed that too.

 

Google "send ticket jagex" and click on first reddit link.
Then choose the correct one (account help most likely)

 

Yeah there is but if the ban was for botting and it's permanent it's usually non-appeal-able.

Click account
Then go under account status and look for your offence

 

Yeah but emailing still gives you a chance on unban, if ban was wrong.

They don't support appeals for botting bans. Not over email, twitter, reddit, forums, appeal system, etc. They'll just say sorry for your loss, which is a shame because they've been known to make mistakes.

 

On the support website it says:

"Macro use (botting)
Gold farming
Account hijacking
Real world trading
Bug abuse
Manual permanent ban (fraud, community safety, staff investigation)

We will not enter into debate about these type of bans on our forums, Twitter, Facebook or through any other method of communication."

Not sure if this is something new, as I tweeted a mod before about an account that was banned for account hijacking, and he got back to me about it. Guess they aren't willing to look into anything anymore.

I have seen quite a few posts on reddit recently where players have claimed that they have been wrongfully banned, and a mod has looked into their account. In all of these cases, though, they determined that the ban was correctly placed (usually for macroing).

 

Don't even bother, they don't look at ban appeals anymore.
But maybe if you send in an account recovery it could help.
