If you have not enabled 2fa, why havent you?

To not use a secondary device when utilizing 2FA is pointless. Any compromised system will lose security to both the password and 2FA. If you think 2FA is to prevent someone from guessing your password, then 2FA isn't a problem; it's your password.

I only got a tablet as android device, but the tablet has only front cam.
So when i try scan it, it just says doesnt work.
Thats why I can't setup the 2FA

 

Why can't you use the front cam? Does the app not recognize the bar code when you try it? Also as previously mentioned, you can use the desktop version by using a google chrome plug in. The guide for it is on the bottom of the first page. It's better to be safe than sorry.

 

I had enabled the 2FA before, but I forgot the code, which led to me almost losing my account. Right now, I'm just avoiding re-enabling it out of laziness.

 

Same reason i don't have Verified user, I can't be fucked.

 

Honestly? Because I'm not sure what it is could someone PM me about it or link me to a thread? I've seen stuff about 2FA and SVU, have been interested in doing both (are they the same?) and would like more info. Thanks in advance

tl;dr

- Makes you input a code to confirm that its you logging in that is generated by google authenticator app on your phone
- So if someone got your password, they wouldn't be able to use the account unless they input the code from the app

Buggy as hell,
sometimes when I enter the code even if its 100% right
Its just says 'wrong' and i have to enter it again and again.
I disabled it because of that.

 

New code every 30 seconds likely expired mid type in.

 

I dont have 2 factor because when my phone got stolen it took yall over 2 months to recover my account for me

 

You are told to write down the removal code and keep it safe, how hard is it xD

I have it enabled but it's pretty annoying have to get the authenticator to logging every time especially when you need to every day as you delete your browsing history

I don't know how my account got accessed. The email registered was tied to a domain I own, and created for the sole purpose of being this accounts recovery email. My password was unchanged also, and out of the sites that had apparently got hacked I hadn't registered on any of them.

Also on top of this, my computer is clean, and the password used on this account was unique to this account. Bizarre times!

 

If I keep my computer safe and information safe, why enable it?

 

This happens when you fuck up the captcha too. It's annoying, but this happens to me as well.
