What happened to RSGoldMarkt?

so 1 out of every 10 sales may be a fake vouch for all you know? If you make 50 sales a day, 5 sales may be fake in a day.... 35 in a week... that stacks up. And monitoring all that can NOT be easy.

I'm not sure how many of his vouches were fake but there has to be a passable percentage when your a large gold seller. If 30% of his vouches were fake then that's unacceptable but if its 10% or less.... I dont see a problem honestly. Just too much to monitor.

My point is, depending on the volume of vouches/sales you have per day, it's not feasible to monitor every single one and depending on the ratio of legit to fake vouches i don't think he deserves the ban...

Plus, how do they know they aren't legit? Are they accusing rsmarkt of doing it himself or one of his workers?

 

Edited my post for clarity as to why one would check their thread and investigate posts. Don't think people that have workers would check with a mindset of vouches being fake. I also don't think there's a case of such a thing being orchestrated by anyone other than the thread owner so that issue wouldn't be salient enough for people to monitor.

Pretty much it's between the conspiracy that someone is out to get him and that whatever amount of fake vouches went unnoticed by Kai/workers, or he orchestrated it himself for exposure.

IMO Kai isn't the type of person to pull this type of thing, but like I said before, it it boggles me how the amount of posts that went on his thread went unnoticed.

The thing is, none of the accounts are banned on the thread either.... I'd love some clarification on how many vouches were actually fake.

If they accounts themselves were created for the sole purpose of posting fake vouches, why aren't they banned as well?

For him to get banned for it that must mean they have proof of them being fake or the accounts being made by him or his employees but why is rsgoldmarkt the only one banned?

So i guess rsgoldmarkt isn't a very large seller of gold if almost EVERY vouch is fake for almost 2 months. JESUS CHRIST. I didn't think it'd be on that caliber of fake vouches. Jeez, impossible for that to go unnoticed.

 

All I will say is, there was a lot of em lol. Fake vouches + accounts that is.

Weird as hell situation honestly. Obviously I haven't been staff that long but even just pre-staff never seen something so peculiar.

Rest assured though the evidence is quite substantial and he's getting all of it relayed to him. It was a pretty massive scale though.

It's as Evilpwns said, it wasn't so much the fake vouches as it was the constant bumping to help promote legitimate sales. But the whole risk makes little sense, especially as a bloody 6k donor as you said.

To the best of my knowledge, a ruling on length has not officially been made. Probably the decision of an admin or maybe even Richard.

Very peculiar on his part.... Must be a weird chap.

 

I love the mods fighting this so hard when if it was any of the Chinese sellers they'd be banned.

 

Whether he did or not I feel a staff member who DOESNT own his own gold shop should handle it.

No matter what R2 does in the situation he will more or less look biased due to potential conflicts of interest.

He should step to the sidelines on this one.

 

A ban is imminent - length is the debate.

R2 is largely just covering the correspondence aspect to it, but his ban ruling is likely to be a staff-wide decision or an override decision from one of the big guns. Being a small gun myself, we'll see.

Just to clarify though this wasn't just your average "gaining a small leg up" in competition. This was a pretty massive shirking of the rules.

 

Doubt he would chargeback, his offsite reputations are worth more than that.
