Bug abusers crashing the price of gold because of invinciblity glitch

Some bug abusers found out how to be unable to be attacked, they built tons of accounts to kill corp and made 100b+ and sold it all but now Elysian rose from 500m to 700m because it's finally been patched. I remember he sold me 6 ely's back when I was merching.

Also bonds are cheaper now it's 1.3m for one which would be $4.5/m

 

Ahh, I haven't done bug abusing for a while now and then something like this shows up. Quite typical I manage to miss all the major glitches :/

A corp glitch wouldn't generate a ton of gp, just item drops. This would only crash the items, and not the gp unless there's some really common drop that is alchable.

 

^^^, I'm suprised Ely's didn't crash unless Jagex removed the ones genereated -- but I find that highly unlikely to happen.

Yeah but the bug abusers RWT'd all the gold so everyone and their nan is stocked on sythe atm, it's only been fixed this thursday

They were around 550m when G.E first came out, they're around 800m now.

 

In order for them to have gold to RWT, they would have to sell the shields/sigils, which means that amount of actual gold would have to be removed. It isn't like a dupe glitch where gold could actually be created, it is a glitch that allows for lots of high value items to be generated.

 

Watch the vid, someone created a bot to farm gold and sell sigils which is a fairly common drop when you have 2-20 accounts botting it, wouldn't 100b+ dumped into the black market would have a fair effect?

Is it really that low? Haven't been keeping up but I still see ppl selling for 2.6? I guess average selling price is like 2.3? Is that right? If so it didn't drop too much it peaked at like 2.6-7ish right after ge/f2p I think

From what I understand, if you logged out with a granite maul in your inventory, then it would cause you to be invincible but allow you to still attack NPCs, or even afk at pest control while attacking the portal in your own instance.

 

Onyx bolts (e) alone would generate near 300m a day with the amount of accounts botting this.

I think the bolts are a 1/50 drop (uncommon drop). One person was running 10+ bots for 20+ hours. An average kill time is probably 5 minutes, so in a day they are expected to get 4.8 onyx drops per account. So 10 accounts is 48 which equates to 57m. (Not accounting the luck factor so it's probably more or less on some days) This would just be one person running 10 accounts. Now imagine 15 people knowing this glitch.

Would generate bolts. Nobody alchs bolts so they don't generate gp unless people do that. It would crash bolt prices and supplies that corp drops. That was his point

I can see it lowering gp prices if the profits are being injected/sold into the blackmarket though. However, overall it didn't create gp.
