IS swapping gp against the rules for RS?

if not surly RWT can always be dismissed from any bans

 

I would believe that swapping is against the rules although not stated at the moment.

This is because you're offering services outside of the game which is by the definition of RWT

Not really hard to spot someone Rwt'ing instead of swapping. If you're swapping u have to get gp in any of the two games back,with rwt'ing this is not the case.

Real world trading is using or exchanging real-life items/cash/services for in-game items or money.

Swapping is allowed OP, you just aren't allowed to stream it on twitch.

 

I think OSRS and RS3 are meant to be two separate games.
And RWT has always in a way been about players who are better off financialy to gain an unfair advantage over other players which includes botting, buying RSGP etc. etc.
If you're swapping, I believe you're gaining an unfair advantage over other players who have started from zero as well

Most developers intend to their games to be fair to all their players although this is mostly not the case.

And if it was allowed, I would believe that Jagex would have already implemented a system within instead of letting us players deal among ourselves and risk scams/complaints/conflicts etc.

That would have been my stand if I was the owner of the game, but I'm not so what the hell?

There is a post on the runescape forums that says swapping is classified as a trust trade, they do not encourage or discourage it.

 

They will see all accounts on your ip.

If you do not have an account that has legitimately earned the gold on OSRS you will get permanently banned

it wont be for rwt, the bann will say goldfarming.

 

There's a difference between spending real money and then using your in-game currency to make more GP.

How can they monitor it? Example, if you give out gp and get scammed, then you have basically done same thing as you would have done when selling gp and you can get banned?

 

did you manage to get them unbanned?

 

Definetly allowed but big amounts may cause suspicion
