Not sure if it would look good on the current background we have + I liked the other logo and Im used to it, so idk.

looks good apart from the TYPO. would be suited for sythe.org advertisement perhaps? far too advanced for this forum, unless this forum got updated.. EDIT: i dont like the Y. other than that, good job.

I removed the background from the logo you did and simply re sized it. I sharpened the things blurry when re sized so its the same.

As for the background on Sythe, I filled the Logo spot with content aware and made it look like it was all stars and etc. and there was no logo there. I moved your logo on the background and there you go! Done.

Looking good But theres a few things I would change/add.

In my opinion, it should be darker with increased shadows to match the current logo a little more and be able to see everything on the current background of the forum. I would also change the intensity of the eye glow and make the middle more "yellow" than "white".

This is kinda what Im talking about. Im sure you can do better but its just an example since I dont have the file and didnt spend much time on it ;P

The H is off (texture wise), in comparison to the other letters.

 

I assure you they're the same, it's maybe cause the H has less lines compared to S for example or Y

 

My favorite version, but why not position the bottom of the letters behind the earth element of your design? As if they're actually planted on the ground.

I hope Richard replaces the current logo. It should have never won that contest. Alteranz had the superior design back then.

yes, that's an interesting design however i doubt that specific one with all the elements will replace current logo as there is a 400x150 dimentions constraint and they would just look like a blob of colour.

If i placed them on the ground it would have made it look uneven.

 

Whether it's your design or not, the simple or the elaborate version, it needs to change.

Keep all the letters in line, just try to bury the flat floating base of the letters as much as possible within this constraint. Do it or don't, that's just the most blatant and unattractive thing in this design, and that's how I would attempt to fix it.

 

I accidently voted no but yeah full support. I could manually change my vote but I think this has already been accepted (not entirely sure) so I won't change it for now.
