My attempts at signatures

Still practicing with photoshop I decided to make my friend and I signatures

I appreciate any and all feedback, tips, and constructive criticism

lol jk good to see you practicing.

Mind the clipping, be sure to erase the edges of the layer(s) that are getting cut off.

Try practicing color schemes a bit, and keep practicing layer styles. For the Matt one I suggest putting the stars behind the text since it has a different angle. You could modify it (edit->transform->Perspective or Warp).

Practicing lighting a bit or watch how people make lightboxes in c4d and get an idea of what to do. Either the lighting or the texture is a bit overexposed.

Im curious what you did to get the shadow under the text.

Seeing some promising things Looking forward to seeing more.

Erase the edges: I made the Matt 1 too big and didn't resize it because until I put it on Sythe it seemed to fit just fine :/ as for the Luckerdog I didn't erase on every layer...Noob mistakes

Color Schemes: I kind of suck with this lol, I just try and use whatever looks good to me.

Lighting: I've been trying to find tutorials for lighting and I can't seem to find 1 that teaches what I want to learn, so I'm basically just experimenting with the basic light effects whenever I make anything

As for the shadow, when I created the 3D text and went to the environment I just changed the shadow opacity until it looked like it fit in

Thanks I've had photoshop for 3-4 days now lol, I don't think I can afford to buy it out, so i'll just have to keep using different emails to continue the trial XD

the corners are cut off, but besides that, looks ok, should of brought the MATTXY8 a layer infront, as it looks a bit hidden and hectic atm.

I would say try to find better effects. The ones you are using now aren't bad but imo they aren't great either. Definitely not bad for starting not that long ago.

The colours you have used are quite unique.

 

Hey, glad to see you getting into graphics.

Firstly, you should try making 3D texts with more done to it. A simple outline around the text would make it look better, so I'd suggest watching some C4D tutorials. Also, your 3D texts seems overly sharpened until the point it looks sort of pixelated. You should look into fixing that.

As for the rest, such as effects and stuff, you just need to keep practicing until you develop your own style.

You're improving, keep it up.

 

I found out that the pixelation is from having 0% shadow opacity for some reason, if I change it to 1% it fixes itself...

Also, make sure your image size doesn't cut your background glow/images
