I intentionally became inactive on Sythe and did not let administration know to disable my account.


Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:
Chain of Events
1. I drifted away from Sythe and eventually became entirely inactive.
2. My account was compromised and I was impersonated.
3. The above post shows the impersonator attempting to scam.
4. There are two users 'Deception' and 'PrepareU' that made fake vouches, one for 750m another for 820m.
5. Account was banned for fake vouching.

Reason for Forgiveness:
I've learned that protecting my account on a forum (and elsewhere) protects other users.

While active on Sythe, I offered a safe alternative to R2Pleasant and became a trusted resource.

Please forgive me for leaving my account unsecured, ultimately leaving Sythe unsecured. It will not happen again.

What did the person who compromised your account do after getting control of it? Just post that thread with the intent to scam people without actually going through with it? Also, how did you get your account back?

After a long time of inactivity I logged into my account and saw the ban message.

I am aware of the fake vouching but I do not know if the imposter successfully scammed anyone.

Couldn't find evidence of the account having been used to scam anyone, so I'm willing to give you benefit of the doubt and support.

Wait I'm slightly confused - is this user banned because of self-vouching?

 

The ban message upon log on reads that the vouches are uncredible:

"fake vouching and possibly scamming - http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1445592 (the 750 and 820m vouches are uncredible)"

 

I'd rather vote once someone who was around when you were active / banned posts confirming your story.

Thanks for taking time to review this. I doubt anyone remembers me and can verify my story, except for R2Pleasent.

I also did many PayPal transactions that I could have done chargebacks on after I left the forums but I never did, and no one ever complained about me.

Forgive me if I'm being a bug-a-boo, this is my 2nd pardon request, and I feel I'm not getting support because no one knows me.

So, I'd like to know if this pardon can be extended until R2Pleasent can be reached. Even after not being on the forums for years R2Pleasent remembers me and I'm sure can vouch for me.

If R2Pleasents opinion won't affect my pardon, please tell me what I need to do to prove I did not have access to my account at the time of the fake vouching and ban.

I thought y'all would be able to verify my story with IP logs?

LooneyToon was a legitimate buyer/seller way back in the day. From what I recall he was hacked or he scammed at some point. Bit foggy on why he was banned.

 

He was banned because someone hacked his account and posted a thread with the intent to scam others. There aren't any scam reports against him so I'll support the unban as well
