Skilling Service

I'd like to open a skilling service, but I have some questions.

If I were to open a skilling service, how much should I charge? Also, do people usually charge by XP or per hour?

Some charge xp an hour, some charge flat rates, which is probably more common.

If you're just starting maybe look at other prices and offer slightly better ones

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend posting your rates publicly, and as already stated there are way too many affecting factors to determine a flat rate.

I would go with an hourly rate based on xp needed and xp per hour gained. It's entirely up to you but if you're just starting up do like many others and offer a few free/cheap ones to get started up and then go from there.

 

a lot of factors for the rates you chose, i do flat rates but i take into consideration of time it will take and im pretty accurate since i have been training on my own accounts and now have my own business

 

I charged 6-15m rs3/hr when I was skilling. 6m for afkish stuff, 15m for things like livid which drain your soul. Generally the average was 10m/hr. I was the most expensive person though. So maybe 5m/hr is more reasonable; there are a lot of people in that range.

 

Most of the people don't have quotes because many orders have to be discussed indeth (e.g. training method etc.) so you can give an exact quote, but many trusted users charge up to 7-8m RS3/hour

 

5M/h isnt a lot tho. Thats not even 2$/hour

Id say charge 10M/hour at least.

If you're doing Oldschool, I would charge 500k-1m/hr.
Definitely do a few free services before asking for paid.

Honestly try to look at powerbot forums or others. Maybe even websites for reference just as a starting point. Though the above people are giving you an hourly rate, as a buyer i'd rather have a flat rate since if someone is charging me an hourly rate they can just do the service at their pace, which is probably slow. For some reason sythe's rates are a bit higher than other forums, but i've seen pretty successful services start up in other sites that give good flat rates.

 

Calculate total amount of exp and give them an estimate based off of the time it would take you.
