The other person in MM trades can see your post if it's public. Gives peace of mind that the other party in a trade isn't a scammer.

One can still just send pm to the other 2 ppl involved in the MM trade?

Does this rule also apply to the name sales thread? Seriously you guys need to tell us EXACTLY which subsections the rule applies to instead of a vague answer like 'has applications across the market' / 'likely won't be heavily enforced in other sections'.

Also is it consider spam if a user posts and ask: 'whats your current stock', 'whats ur rate atm' etc, and u reply in the thread?

"While I do agree that customer poaching is childish, unprofessional, and amateur, Sythe has deemed that it does not go against the rules of the site. I believe that the majority of customers are repelled by the practice and respond accordingly. However, it does create a negative atmosphere on the site which is very unfortunate. Up until a few months ago, this practice was rarely used, despite it not being against the rules. Right now there is a lack of mutual respect among certain large sellers which has created the toxic environment we are seeing today."

I think it's FUCKING HILARIOUS that despite this obviously not being against the rules, I've gotten in trouble for it before and was told to stop. Not listening now.

Infractions are being handed out in the Gold/Item Exchange only, at the moment. However, the bottom line is, do not ask users to make useless posts on your threads. If you are talking to someone about a Name Sale on Skype / PM / other private communication, then you have no legitimate reason to now request that they post an order form as well.

Middlemanning is a bit different because these order forms provide a clear and transparent trading format for the 3 or more parties involved. The forum also has no clear signs of abuse; threads remain on the first page for ~24 hours without being bumped. Within that timeframe anyone could just bump them legitimately several times over.

If a user initiates contact through your forum post, then you are certainly welcome to reply there and direct them to contact you privately. You could also fire them a PM.

If you are asking people to post information on your thread that contributes nothing, then we may issue you a warning. This goes for any section. Once you have received the warning, we expect you to

Forcefully disallowing and removing order forms is just silly, IMO anyway.

As of right now this rule is enforced only on the Gold/Item Exchange. However, we will look into other markets where users are abusing customer posts as well. Some have mentioned the LoL forums are also being abused. Staff will investigate this concern and may look to extend this rule to those forums as well.

Order forms are allowed. Customers can use them if they are used of their own volition. I.e, a customer comes to Sythe.org, searches for gold, finds a thread, posts the forum, and proceeds with the trade.

Forms being used to intentionally bump said thread for the OP, those will be deleted/infracted.
