Laptop Recommendations

So I need a new laptop because my current one is extremely inefficient. The fan overheats very easily and it's like 4-5 years old so it's time for a new one anyways.

So mainly what I'm looking for is a computer that can handle some multimedia ranging from school use to playing League of Legends. League will be the only video game I play with a couple of old school steam games like CS:S and Killing Floor so I don't need anything fancy. I don't have a particular budget but I would like for a price around $500. Just wanted to get some opinions on this. Of course, $500 isn't my budget so just anywhere near there is fine.

how far are you willing to go from $500? I know Lenovo sells the y40-80 and it starts at $699(US). But you surely wouldn't be stuck with something that doesn't keep up with what you do.

If league of legends is the only game you're going to play you'll be fine with anything better than Intel HD Graphics (would save you a bit of money) but if you still got the money for it definitely go for a dedicated GPU

EDIT: Sorry, on-topic, I can vouch for the Y40-80. I've got one myself, works great!

 

Its probably better to just save up a little more and buy a msi laptop. They are beast for gaming and other things.

 

Not sure if you can get good laptop for 500$

I had one for 600-700$ or so it was so shit later i bought mac for 1,8k$

 

ASUS RoG // Lenovo Gaming laptops are the two that I know that are very good. The other brands like Clevo, MSI, etc.. I don't know about those.

If no budget, ASUS RoG,
If budget, Lenovo.
