    What are the risks?

I am fairly new at runescape. I have been reading around the forums and i have become interested in learning how to "pk". Now after googling account reselling, i have learned that this is not an option.

Is it true that someone can just take their account back? Even after they have received a large portion of money?

    What are the risks?

Yes, the original owner of the account can always recover the account, that is why it is so risky when buying accounts.

^. Original owners can always recover their account, no matter how much information they give you.

    What are the risks?

Even after the E-Mail has been changed over to yours and there are no recovery questions whatsoever, the original owner will always be able to recover the account back (Jagex mostly looks looks at the first/previous passwords aswell as the IP's). That's why I'd recommend only buying of trusted users who would loosing something incase they'd recover the account back.

ftfy. OP, you have two options: pay a lot for an account from someone well-trusted, or get it recovered. you have no idea how many accounts get recovered by non-trusted sellers

Never buy an account I know from personal experience how dangerous it can be NO MATTER how trustworthy/vouched the person is.

    What are the risks?

If you buy an account from someone that's not trusted, its more like renting an account.

    What are the risks?

As everyone else has said, you are always at risk if you didn't make the account yourself. So the best way to counter that is to make your own account. You can start from scratch and bot it or have a couple and switch off between them regularly to prevent a ban, and/or hire people to train your accounts because they are yours the worst those people can do is wipe it, but anymore with the 24 hour trade limit you'll be safe for awhile. It would take longer to get into the pking but you'd be able to tailor your account to you while avoiding paying for a pre-made acc with a lot of risk.

    What are the risks?

It's not what you want to hear, but typically in all games the original owner can take the account back and you're kind of left out to dry. Luckily, it's easy to dispute these cases and get your money back through Paypal if it's within the disputable time.

Usually it is advised to spend a bit more and buy an account from a trusted seller. And by trusted seller I don't mean "25 vouches" or "$200 donor", I mean someone that is actually a part of this community, has been for years and has a lot to lose if they were to scam you.
