07 item lending?

thoughts on item lending on 07?

 

I would be all for it...Couldn't hurt the game..just another cool feature they could add in

 

I don't see why not, I don't see it hurting the game in anyway. Would be a good way to make some nice side cash ^^.

What do you think people would be renting though? In rs2/rs3, ppl usually rented phats/hweens/santas, just the rares.

 

Bandos items, gods words, any high level gear

 

Another good way to invest your money, would love this update you could make decent money by lending, Sgs's ags's bandos etc.
if this update will ever be pulled, elys will jump in price same with other high value items

 

Im not sure how dying with the items work, as in what is protected over what and things of that nature, but, i do think it will help both the party lending who makes the profit, and the person being lent to who can use the item to obtain more items

 

do you think there should be a max on how many items you can rent or rent out at a time?

I feel like I used the lending system only a handful of times and it was for cosmetic uses... I don't know how many people use it now but it wouldn't hurt the game... I would like to see it

 

Lending gives an advantage to botters. Why have a high priced item on the account when you can just lend it and if you get banned, no risk of loss?

 

I would love to see this happen -

Ely etc would not be lend able (just like it was back in the day)
Have it capped one item lent out at time - and only be able to have one item

To stop botters - such as dragon bots and wc there is really no way - limiting one item from one account can really take a hold on the farmers IMO.

 

Seems completely pointless, but it won't hurt the game.

 

Prefer it not happen, achieving these items is a goal that people strive towards. Lending it kills the hype of trying to get enough money to own the item.

 

Those used to be the good ole days huh LOL nevertheless it probably will not be coming to 07 anytime soon....... LET THE POLLS BEGIN.

 

Funny fact. I am pretty sure I was one of the only few people who realized about the give back lend thing in Wilderness. Basically what I did was that someone lent me SoL (Staff of Light). I made him follow me into wildy and kick me to get skulled and I got him really low took on a DDS gave him back the item and killed him and got it as drop. If I remember correctly the only way to do this was to go through the lever thing in Edge. Was pretty funny and will be if they make the same mistake with that again.

 

i wish they would incorporate item lending in 07

 

I don't play 07 but if you guys are all for the "oldschoolness" I wouldn't go with it because it seems JaGex is moving towards that trend of updating this game and they might add all the shit that made it bad back. However, if you're all here just for pre-eoc, I say it wouldn't hurt!
