Anyone play LoL and Runescape? which is better

what makes it special?

 

There's no way you can compare a moba to an mmorpg

 

LoL is much more fun IMO because it involves constant teamwork.

 

its varies and depends, if you are a moba type of person and like long matches that require you to restart then LOL, if you would like to keep grinding and keep your experience and do quests/skills/etc then RS is for you.

 

both games are very addictive but completely different. However both companies managing them are equally fucking retarded

Haven't played LoL either. Just looking at livestreams though, its pretty different to compare to RS.

 

understand it takes a lot of mechanical skill to become good at the game. Literally took me 1k games before i felt comfortable in any lane with multiple champs. I quite rs back in 2011 but dabbled in its market. faster you get away from rs the better. Games a anchor... League is challenging and keeps a good love/hate relationship with me

 

Like others have mentioned comparing these 2 games is hard because they are both completely different. Runescape has always been apart my gaming life and still is. I started playing mobas awhile back really got hooked on Dota 2. A lot of my friends played league of legends so I switched over and both are really great games. I now find a balance between RS and league, both can be lots of fun depending on what you're in the mood for.

 

MOBA's like LoL require constant practice. You wont get good at league of legends overnight. I've played Runescape since the the old '06 days and since i picked up LoL, i kinda quit (on top of the fact jagex ruined it).

LoL isnt very fun at the start. Once you get good and actually know whats happening then it starts getting enjoyable

 

completely different games, LoL is more mechanics based by far.

Runescape is a game you can play pretty mindlessly if you really want

League does have a pretty high learning curve like mentioned above though.

 

League is the most infuriating, stressful, day-fucking-up game that I've ever played, but it is also the most satisfying and rewarding game I've ever played.

The emotions that you will experience during the game are triggered by an announcer that is basically the goddess of your emotions. Every player cringes as the sound of "An ally has been slain" and then.. god help us.. "enemy double kill".. "enemy TRIPLE kill!". As of that moment, your day is fucked, you want to hit anybody who is near you, you hate everything and everybody and you question yourself, "Why am I awake at 4 am playing this fucking life draining game".. at least until the announcer goddess changes the game in your favor.

 

There isn't but there's always one you will enjoy over the other.


LoL for me, because it's more challenging/competitive, and you can learn new stuff every game.

I feel like runescape is all the same tbh.

 

I can see if you maybe compared GW2 or WoW to RS but LoL and RS are two COMPLETELY different games.

There is no hurt in trying it out to see if you like it, it is a free game. I would suggest sticking with it for a while in the beginning though, I remember that I didn't really care for it, and nether did most of my friends, but now we are all hooked.

There is no game 'better' than another game. It's what you personally enjoy more. If you're bored of Runescape, why not give LoL a go? And if you like it, stick to it. If you miss Rs, go back to Rs, find out which you prefer!
