Valentines 2015 Event Feedback

What did you think about the event's:
-general approach (i.e., get people to write love letters instead of scavenger hunting or something)
-organization
-administration
-and/or other aspects

What suggestions would you have moving forwards?

Tbh it was a bunch of tl;dr entries. Keep things shorter for next events because barely anyone is going to sit there read all those entries tbh.

Better too long than too short, no? But yeah, Joshua's was massive. Maybe I'll keep it to a 100-200 word limit if we do this again. Does that sound reasonable?

You joined like one day before the event ended, but besides that point, you could have posted on the event thread or in the spam forum to try to pair up. Or just pm people even!

 

I feel like these events should allow everyone to join with ease, but it restricted users who didn't have partners from participating.

Other than that, it was fine.

 

It wasn't my cup of tea so I didn't participate. The people I knew were already doing it since I saw it late and I didn't want to write a love note to a random person. But I agree, a bunch of the voting was just tl;dr and somewhat arbitrary

 

Should've required the love letters be in poem format. It makes all submissions bearable to read.

 

It was open to anyone by pming or asking others to join and work as partners for it. Maybe in the future, since people need it thoroughly explained, they can elaborate if it wasn't obvious. I agree, it was ok.

Mine was perfect example tbh.

Also, miniranks faster from competitions. We usually wait weeks-months for miniranks after these.

 

Something bigger than just the 1 event.

CDT needs to step up their game when it comes to giving out the mini rank.

 

You realize that only admins can give out mini ranks right?

I'm sure it takes some time to process who actually gets the minirank but its entirely dependant on the admin (assuming roary) to be online and do it.

 

Yes but it still shouldn't have to take 3 weeks :/
