scammers are realy a problem lately

100% true because it may all be like bonds swaps which imo are completely worthless

 

Behind a computer screen...everything seems justified. They wouldn't do it in person.

 

You need to start taking using paypal or buy from trusted to avoid this

 

So many risks with account trading for the buyer.
Personally if I was buying an account I would only buy from someone I knew IRL or an extremely trusted user like superfluous and pay over the top for it.

 

Happens everywhere, best you can do is use as many precautions as possible

Will always be scammers in high numbers because there is no real consequence of scamming on these types of sites.

 

People getting greedy for pixels which is worth lots in real money is a really bad problem for the site.

I've been noticing people on the RSPS Forum and I only see NEW accounts making sales threads which are most likely scams. I'd never recommend anyone to trade with these type of sellers without info or without using a middleman.

As per RS account sales, I agree with this.

The thing is that most scammer just make a quick buck and thats it. Like drug addicts or something. I remember in October my first trade I got scammed for like $7 I think it was.... Like literally it was $7 paypal. Sure I could have recovered it but I wasn't going to. I'll give a homeless guy $7 if I had it...

That's why I don't do trades of any high value with people under 30 or so vouches. I know in the end vouches don't mean shit. but Still just the time it takes to get that high, they likely not gonna scam.

But yea I do think it's a problem but it has to do with the methods which allow you to sell accounts and gold. There is never an easy way to sell something here without a leap of faith or getting a MM.

 

That would stop a lot of people from coming to this website.
That being said it would make everything a lot more safer.

People are going to scam for a One dollar, It's just a way of making money really from anyway you see it, some people see no distinction in having an actual job and being a scammer.

 

I'm sorry for your loss, it has happend to a load of people here and it sucks. My advice is not to buy Runescape accounts, but create a new account and let people powerlevel it to the stats you want to have. It costs a little more, but you'll always know you're safe.

 

Ask for the manual recovery information and if you have time, see if it is legit before the trade is completed.
