    Weapon Specific

    Auto – Sometimes accompanied by the insult noob, usually describes the Automatic Sniper rifle (SCAR-20 or GS3G1).
    AWP(er) – The AWP sniper rifle, or if accompanied by the ‘er’ somebody using one.
    CZ – The CZ75 Auto Pistol, sometimes affectionately called the pocket AK.
    Juan Deag - The act of getting a single shot kill to the head with the Desert Eagle pistol.
    Kit – The Counter Terrorist defuse kit.
    Molly – Nickname for the Molotov or incendiary grenade.
    Nade – Usually refers to a standard HE grenade.
    Nade Stacking – Multiple people using their HE grenades at the same time, usually in a tight corridor or choke point.
    Pro 90 – A derogatory term for the P90 sub machine gun, making fun of its relative ease of use.
    Rifle – Can refer to any of the weapons under the rifle tab of the buy menu, but more often than not refers to one of the two primary weapons (AK-47 or M4).
    Shotty – Can be used to describe any of the shotgun weapons.
    Swag-7 – Affectionate term for the MAG-7 Counter-Terrorist shotgun.

    Round Specific

    Anti-Eco – The opponent has been forced on an eco-round and you are going up against it.
    CT / T Side – The Counter-Terrorist or Terrorist side of a map.
    Eco – A round where you do not have enough in game money to buy a decent rifle, Kevlar/helmet and grenades.
    Force Buy – Not having enough in game money for a full buy but making do with what you have to buy cheaper weapons because the situation calls for it (could be the last round of the half for example).
    Full Buy – Buying a primary rifle, Kevlar, Helmet, full grenades (and a defuse kit if you are on the Counter-Terrorist side).
    Save – Cutting your losses towards the end of a round and attempting to survive, keeping hold of the weapon/armour and any grenades you may have for next round.
    Site Stack – Sending more than the default amount of people to a particular site or position, often in anticipation of the enemy going that way.

    Situation Specific

    Blind – Under the effect of a flash bang, the severity can be determined by using full or half before it.
    Block – Being in front or behind somebody and due to player collision blocking them from moving in the direction they desire.
    Boost – Certain spots in the game are only reachable by a player jumping onto the head of a crouched player and then jumping again.
    Clutch – The last person alive on a team is in a clutch situation, this can be against one or multiple opponents.
    Dinked – Similar to Lit, refers more specifically to being shot in the head.
    Fake – This can apply to a number of things, but most commonly will refer to a bomb plant or bomb defuse being faked.
    Kick – Kicking a player from your team by using the vote option.
    Lit – The person in question has taken a lot of damage to their health.
    Lurking – Also sometimes described as flanking, it is the act of moving about the map looking to get behind or surprise the opposite team.
    Ninja – Can refer to any sneaky play, but is usually applied to somebody defusing the bomb when there is still Terrorists alive protecting it.
    Peek – Using the A and D keys efficiently to check common positions.
    Pre-fire – Pre-emptively shooting in places you expect the enemy to be when peeking or rounding a corner.
    Retake – Losing control of a bombsite and attempting to take back the control of it.
    Rotate – Usually applies more to the Counter-Terrorist side, it refers to making a player leave their position to go and cover where the enemy are believed to be heading.
    Smoked – The presence of a smoke grenade blocking the way or trapping you in.
    Trade – Killing an opponent that has just killed the teammate you are with, essentially trading their lives.
    Wallbang – Being shot at or shooting through a wall or object that allows bullet penetration.

    Acronyms

    BG – Bad game, the bad mannered equivalent of good game, often said by the losing team.
    GG – Good game, the universally accepted polite way to end a game.
    GH – Good half, said after fifteen rounds at the switching of halves.
    GL – Good luck, usually said in all chat at the start of a game.
    HF – Have fun, may sometimes accompany the good luck at a start of a match.
    NS – Nice shot, generally a compliment for an impressive shot.
    NT – Nice try, complimenting or encouraging a nice attempt or shot.
    TK – Team killing, can be intentional or accidental and excessive use will result in a ban from competitive matches.
    WP – Well played, further niceties at the end of a match.

    AFK
    Shorthand for "Away From Keyboard," in which a player is not currently present at the computer.

    AK
    Shorthand for the CV-47 or AK-47.

    AK-47
    Shorthand for the CV-47 or AK-47.

    Ammo
    Shorthand for a weapon's ammunition.

    Ar_
    The map prefix for the Arsenal game-types (Demolition and Arms Race) in Counter-Strike games.

    As_
    The map prefix for the Assassination game-type in Counter-Strike games.

    AWM
    Shorthand for the Magnum Sniper Rifle or AWP sniper rifle.

    AWSM
    Shorthand for the Magnum Sniper Rifle or AWP sniper rifle.

    AWP
    Shorthand for the Magnum Sniper Rifle or AWP sniper rifle.

    AWPer
    A player in a professional team dedicated to using the AWP sniper rifle.

    BEdit

    B
    The B bomb site on a bomb defusal map.

    Bomb
    Also known as C4
    The bomb used by the Terrorist team on a bomb defusal map.

    Boost
    Reaching normally unreachable positions by standing on teammates when the team collision is on.

    Burst
    A firing mode in which the player shoots 3 bullets at a time.
    A firing technique on semi-automatic or fully automatic rifles in which the player uses short bursts similar to the burst firing mode.

    C-4
    The bomb used by the Terrorist team in bomb defusal maps
    The bomb used by the Terrorist team on a bomb defusal map.

    Clutch
    Winning in a situation in which the player is the last man standing or as the underdog in an otherwise un-winnable situation.

    CS
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike game.

    Cs_
    The prefix for the hostage rescue game-type in Counter-Strike games.

    CSCZ
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero game.

    CSGO
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game.

    CSO
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike Online game.

    CSS
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike: Source game.

    CZ
    Shorthand for the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero game.

    CZDS

    The Counter-Terrorists factions within the Counter-Strike series.

    The Clarion 5.56.

    Flash
    Using a flashbang grenades to blind an opponent.

    FPS
    A First-person shooter (game).
    Frames per second.

    Friendly fire
    Damage given to or sustained from a teammate

    FF
    Shorthand for Friendly fire.

    GG
    Shorthand for "Good Game." Used by a player after the completion of a match to express good sportsmanship.
    Expressing surprise, disbelief or admiration after an unlikely event, a problem, or a nice shot.

    Gg_
    The map prefix for the former Gun Game game-type in Counter-Strike games.

    GH
    Shorthand for "Good Half." Used by players after the end of the first half of a match in which the players switch sides.

    GL HF
    Shorthand for "Good luck, have fun." Used by players prior to the start of a match to express admiration or good sportsmanship.

    Glock
    The 9x19mm Sidearm.
    Shorthand for the Glock-18.

    Newbie
    A friendly term indicating a player who is new to the game.

    Ninja
    As a Counter-Terorrist, reaching and defusing the bomb by circumventing living Terrorist players and obscuring their sight instead of eliminating them.
    As a Terrorist, reaching the bomb site and planting the bomb without engaging the Counter-Terrorists on-site.

    Noob
    A derogative term indicating a very irritating player. It can be mistaken for Newbie, however, they are not the same.

    Noob cannon
    A term referring to "easy-kill" weapons such as the Leone YG1265 Auto Shotgun or Magnum Sniper Rifle.

    NV
    Shorthand for night vision.

    NVG
    Shorthand for the Night vision goggles.

    OP
    Shorthand for "overpowered," usually referring to a weapon capable of dealing incredible damage with little effort.

    Own
    To kill and/or dominate an opponent.

    PEdit

    P2K
    Shorthand for the P2000.

    Para
    Shorthand for the M249.

    PCW
    Shorthand for "practice clan war," in which two teams play against each other in an online game, generally 5on5.

    Pistol round
    The first round of a match/half in which players have the default cash, generally resulting in only pistols being purchased.

    Pop flash
    Timing a flash to explode as the player peeks around a corner or attempts a takedown either by coordinating with a teammate, or by bouncing the flashbang off nearby surfaces from behind cover as a solo player.

    Pump shottie/shotty
    The Leone 12 Gauge Super.

    Pwn
    To kill and/or dominate an opponent.

    QEdit

    Quick Switch
    To rapidly switch between your weapons.

    Quick Switch Glitch
    A process which allows players to skip the bolt animation by quick switching with the Magnum Sniper Rifle or Schmidt Scout.

    Quad Kill
    To kill 4 enemies in a 5v5 match

    REdit

    ROFL
    Shorthand for "Rolling On the Floor Laughing."

    Rotate
    Shorthand to indicate the need for a switch for a player or players from one position to another, generally between two bomb sites on a bomb defusal map.

    Rush
    Overwhelm defending players by having the whole team attack the same position in a coordinated attack.

    SEdit

    Save
    Running out the match timer by retreating or hiding with the intent to carry the player's weapons and equipment through to the next round.

    Smurf
    A high-ranking competitive player who has created another account to play with lower ranks.

    T
    The Terrorist factions.

    Team kill
    To kill a teammate.

    Team killer
    A person who team kills.

    TK
    Shorthand for "team kill."

    TKer
    Shorthand for "team killer."

    UMP
    Shorthand for the KM UMP45.

    VACation
    A player who has been banned by VAC.

    WEdit

    Wallbang
    Intentionally shooting through a wall or through cover with the intention of hitting an opponent.

    Worldspawn
    To die from falling
    Map "entry" available in Hammer World Editor.

    XEdit

    X-hair
    Shorthand for the player's crosshair.

    Thanks Bleu. This is just a rough start. I'm not as familiar with the game as some, so I would appreciate help. Any suggestions for headings, links, or more are appreciated.

    Will work on this more later.
