Reopen the Assets and Investment Forum

This forum is currently archived and I see no reason why. On a site that revolves around multiple economies in games and even out of games (cryptocurrency and such), I think there is a lot of mutual interest on these forums when it comes to making money. This section could have in-depth discussions about economics, investing opportunities, market analysis, and even business idea discussion.

After successfully reopening the sports and health section, I plan to do the same to this section. I can assure you there is enough interest on the forum to keep the section alive and well maintained.

edit: I also think since the Cryptocurrency forum is so small and inactive, you could include it/merge it into this section

 

I don't think it would fair well. Cryptocurrency is not exactly an active forum, and I don't see assets & investments doing any better.

 

There is pretty much nobody on this site who would be able to have an intelligent conversation in that forum, which is why it had virtually no activity and eventually was closed.

 

These are the same arguments that delayed the reopening of the health and sports section. You cannot just assume that a forum that was closed over a year ago would fall to the same fate as before. Especially because I will be constantly keeping new conversations and threads flowing through the section.

How can it hurt? It's just providing a place for those who want to use it.

As for the crypto currency section, I completely agree. So wouldn't adding a more broad section that includes more topic options be more beneficial?

I don't see a negative at all and only see positives. Plus, the section has existed before, so it's not like it's a completely new concept.

 

Health & Sports is an optimal section to have, hence why I supported it. Assets & Investment is not, and like Pockets said, little to no one would have the intelligence to make it active.

 

If anything, just make the Cryptocurrency forum expanded and allow these types of things to be posted in it, maybe it would be more active.

No to having it be a completely separate section, I don't see it being that active.

 

I am all for merging into one large section related to everything from investing to cryptocurrency to market analysis.

I think stating "there is not enough intelligence" is making the the gap of knowledge wider. If anything, opening the section would promote new ways of learning skills that these "unintelligent" people have not experienced before.

 

I'm fine with cryptocurrency being expanded but definitely not having it's own subsection

Agree, I suggested to open a Gambling section/sub-forum, everyone supports the idea, but it is still taking so long to implement it. Seriously, how do you want to stop losing members, if you can't even keep on shifting and maintain at least the same amount of members all the time. All you introduce are just sections/sub-sections for these little kids-spam king wannabes-mamma's titty suckers. If you will stick with the same content, the major game will die and the forum will die together.
Keep improving Sythe, keep improving, don't turn into a dead horse.

 

Market analysis sounds like market discussion to me, which already is a forum. I don't think we should expand on an inconspicuous idea. For your suggestion to be viable, I think there does need to be threads already involving the subject lingering around before suggesting that there should be a forum to cater for it. That's like me suggesting a forum be created for astrology discussion without there being any threads about it. As for expanding cryptocurrency, I think it's a good idea, but like I said market analysis links directly to market discussion.

 

The market discussion is based around the game markets and the gold/item trading market. When I say market analysis, I mean any market (mostly stock market).

I'm all for expanding cryptocurrency as long as its actually being expanded a lot and not just being "tweaked", I'm looking for a reflection of an assets and investment forum.

 

Market discussion isn't based solely around gaming, take a look at the forum description, it tells you that. It may be construed as that because that's what the majority leans towards. You don't see market analysis type threads because it's not a favorable topic to discuss with anyone here. If you take a look at the demographic of the site, you won't find many people having an interest in that niche. If you want to make threads of that nature, do so in that forum and see how many responses you get, and by whom.

 

Support. I feel it would be a good subforum, it can always be experimented to see of activity is enough to keep it.

 

I'd support a new Investment & Cryptocurrency Discussion subforum. And just put the current crypto in there

On topic:

I'm pretty indifferent to it, I agree that it was closed for a reason but I also acknowledge that just a couple people interested could keep discussion flowing.

I'd really prefer the cryptocurrency section is left out of this though, especially a merge would be a terrible idea imo.

 

I don't think it's really necessary. You should be able post anything you think would fall under that section in General Discussion

 

Why not just tack on " & Investments" to the crypto sub? It's dead af as is... there are threads on the front page that haven't been posted on in six weeks.
