Bump time change.

Hi there,

First and foremost i would like to point out that anything being said is meant with no disrespect whatsoever towards sythe or it's staff, seeing as how sythe is still the leading black market for games.
Due to current infractions i'v been receiving (well deserved of course) for breaking the bump rule (1 bump per 8 hours), I would like to ask if there would be a possibility that the bump time would be reduced somewhat? Other forums currently have a 3-4 hour bump time rule which is more then doable and rule abiding because whenever u'r dropping down in the list of topics, you know in some hours you'll be at the top again. 8 hours in my opinion is just too long because if you bump your topic and 5-6 sellers bump theirs some minutes after then your sales are pretty much ruined for that day. A lot of sellers resort to asking customers if they could "confirm" the trade on their topic (aka : bump it for them), just because the bump time is to long. Imo asking a customer to post something on the sales topic like : "speaking on skype" is just another way for the seller to bump his own topic once more which is unfair towards the less known sellers who get less business and thus less "confirmations" on their topics. This could all be avoided somewhat with a lower bump time. Also i strongly believe it would reduce bump rule breakers (and thus a lot of work for mods). On a side note i also believe most of the people running a service will agree with me.

The 8 hour rule is perfectly reasonable. It allows for 2 or 3 bumps per day, which in my opinion, is more than enough. The competitive nature of certain sections is just part of business.

 

I'll support dropping it to 6. I think 3-4 hours is too short.
