Would you like to know when youre going to die?

Hell no! I would rather it come by surprise then worry about it!

I'm not, personally. Not sure why. Might be a personality thing.
However, I don't think I'd want to know when. Maybe how, but not when.

 

Being in the military, I really wouldn't want to know when my death is gonna happen. Its part of life and in some cases part of my job, its part of the oath you take when you join. But personally the thought of knowing when I am going to die would make me gradually feel more and more depressed...

Until the day comes for real, I'm gonna live every day like I have few left...

But knowing how can add into the anxiety because the activity you die doing, you'd avoid for the rest of your life...

 

Are you religious?
I could understand if you are religious and believe there is something else after death.

My opinion on that is that there is something else after, but I hate not being sure what it is or if there is anything at all.

 

I'm with Dan here, I'm also not all that scared of it. I do not want to die and I have a lot left that I want/plan on doing, but it doesn't necessarily frighten me.

As for myself, I'm not overly religious and I am not sure what I consider myself. I've been reading into Buddhism (mainly because I like the whole inner peace and meditation, and I'm not sure how I feel about the Gods they've talked about in my readings.)

Regarding religion, I think living for an eternity sounds frightening. I do not know if I would want to live for an eternity. An eternity, try to grasp it for a minute. Forever.

 

Some times I do wonder which is worse, Living forever or dying, and I imagine my life 300 years from now and it scares me.

I'd like to be able to stop aging completely when I hit 25.

Not religious, no. I don't have any conscious or deliberate belief on death other than it being the atheistic view of nothingness, but I also don't see it as something to be feared. It's inevitable, so why spend your life scared of it when it'll happen one way or the other? Just seems a bit silly to me. What I would fear is a slow death, like from a cancer or something where I would gradually start to see the effects of what my family and friends would be like without me. I might sound full of myself but I know at least 5 people who would be in total shambles over my death. Maybe that's why I'm okay with it, because I know that I'll be missed.

 

Sometimes I like to live in the unknown, and this particular subject is right in that radius. If I were to know though, it would probably send me insane. I mean, I can sit here and say I'm not scared to die, when really I am. But I'd rather go out not knowing when I will.

Do those things regardless of when you're going to die.

Personally I wouldn't want to know. It's better that way. I'm not fearful of death it happens to everything eventually but I'd prefer to not know when it's going to happen to me.

 

A friend of mine lost his mother this morning to cancer, he was told she wouldn't make it through the night, so he prepared for her death and him and his family stayed awake all night by her side until she passed.

I would like to be told 1 day before my death so I could spend it the same way.

 

I'd like to know. I'd get everything sorted then die without leaving any regrets.

 

"Hell no lol" were literally going to be the first three words that I posted.

So, hell no lol. I'd definitely rather not know. It'd be too stressful knowing when its coming. I'd rather just enjoy the time I do spend with my family, when I do travel, when I do enjoy myself, etc without having that weight over my head.

You'd be spending less time with your family and more time at work so it could mean the complete opposite.
