    Help about my services

    I'm starting a runescape skill training service I've been doing it free but it's time to actually make a little profit for my efforts. How much shoudl I charge for skills to be trained? For example agility 1-50 how much should price be?

    This is 100% up to you. Agility is one of the worst skills to train especially hand done, therefore it will be more on the higher end for 1-50. Imo if I was opening a new service I'd charge about 10m for that.

    Help about my services

    A smart thing to do for skills would be to charge a set amount of gp per xp between levels. For example:

    You might want to charge 50GP per XP point from levels 1 -> 25
    Then 30GP per XP point from levels 25 -> 50 & 10GP per XP point from 50 -> 99.

    (Note how there is more XP between higher levels so we charge less.)
    These numbers are completely random, so you shouldn't use these, but instead you should suite this formula to your needs.

    Here's a runescape xp table to put things into perspective.
    http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/xp_table.htm

    Real example:

    If a customer orders 45 -> 50 agility.
    At a rate of 20gp/xp, you should charge charge 800K.

    Here's the math:
    Xp at 45 = 61,512
    Xp at 50 = 101,333
    Difference = 39,821
    total = 39821 * 20 = 796,420

    I hope this helps :)

    Gotta factor in xp rates though, some skills are faster than others/require less effort :)

    I charge a flat rate of $1.50 - 3.00 an hour. Much simpler that way imo. I calculate an estimate for them best I can but I always do hourly up front.

    Yup, that's why you design different rates for different skills.

    I usually group them into 3 different price groups so I don't have to make rates for 20+ skills.
    (Easy skilling prices, normal skilling prices, difficult skill prices).

    Ideally, you'd want an application/website to do this for you automatically, otherwise it's a pain.

    Mind telling me rates for easy normal and difficult rates are for you? I won't use exact numbers just an idea

    This is something you have to determine yourself. What methods will you use at what levels? How much are you charging? How good is your grinding skill? How efficient are you? Those are all factors you have to take in consideration.

    For UPS skilling pricing we tested out skilling rates for longer then a month and we're still adjusting.

    I used to charge by hour. Think my standard was around 10m eoc/hr, more for stuff I didn't really want to do (livid, agil, etc.) and less for stuff I liked.

    Help about my services

    As someone who buys skilling services, I feel like most of us do not prefer hourly rates. Just like in real life, if you pay someone by the hour they can do it as slow as they can. Most of the time I order services that can give me a set quote and compare quotes from multiple sellers. This site doesn't have the most skilling services, so I'd maybe check out some other botting site forums or websites for their quotes and then try to make yours a bit cheaper. The gp per xp idea isn't bad though as long as you take type of skill into account

    Its up to you like the others have said. Why not try looking at the competition you have, and derive a price range from there?

    What I say is it'll be around this xp/hour, it'll be this $/hour. And then they can pay as little as they want upfront and I'll do it for them. When they see that I go hard the entire 10 hours they continue with their order.

    Its more fair that way, they aren't putting any money out. I'm not way over or underestimating.

    Estimate how long it will take you to complete the order, then break it down how much per hour you'll make and see if it suits you.
