As a lot of people think and probably would agree.

A lot of forums that are doing trading have a blacklist for any scammer banned on they're forum.

Let's say you banned an user.

It always can be found by searching in admin panels who has been banned.

By giving the acess to the admin that could take this big job work, he could provided an official blacklisted list for people that are banned over the forum by providing they're banned steam profile and name, the skype id if there is one and also the steam profile or runescape account or any e-mail related or paypal, skrill, btc adress needed and also which game was he scamming on.

I belive this could be really helpful since people could just do a CTRL + F search and find the game related to they're purchase or even search the skype account they are dealing with directly to verify if there is any report over sythe regarding the user they are currently dealing with.

Yes, it could be a lot of work, but it only needs one admin that would accept to take this charge and do it alone 100% to make it sharp and working.

It only takes to find every new banned user and then add them with infos requested. Of course for the beggining it would need a lot of work since the beggining of sythe, But I believe that would be a really big plus for this community to get it more sythe guard secured.

Might have to check with the laws where sythe is registered if thats allowed to have this kind of black-list over you're forum but I guess it could me.

Let me know what you guys think about that, it looks like some kind of idea that could really help and create somewhat a Sythe Guard to protect people.

It could be for example Sticked to any trade sections with a redirection to it.

You're crazy if you think you're going to compile a list of EVERY banned member.

Laziness has nothing to do with not wanting to manually compile over 10,000 reports.

    It does mate.

I would do those reports and add them to the blacklist, with using spoilers by months date when the user we're banned.

There is a really big amount of people getting scammed, people that are not even registered to the forum that get scammed trusting seller from here that take advantage from them.

This is really stupid ghast, heres for you the definition so you can look up and maybe retire you're post.

"Laziness (also called indolence) is a disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to do so. It is often used as a pejorative; related terms for a person seen to be lazy include couch potato, slacker, and bludger."

So, what I see here is if you would like to compile the list, be my guest.

It's not lazy, no one wants to waste their time for something that will barely ever get read.

Newcomers will not read it because they would rather have a quick transaction and in retrospect nothing will actually change once the list is compiled.

But hey, if you think you can do it, all the power to ya'.

It's not time effective. Users are known for not reading stickies when they should, using common sense when they should, and being more cautious when they should. The idea is nice, but definitely not worth the time it takes to manually compile such a list.

The list already exists and is updated to this year I believe.

Really it's for us. Normal users aren't going to ctrl+f the list, we can't even get them to request pm's as it Is. Implementing more safety precautions at this point would be useless. We've gotten everything very secure at this point. There are just a large majority of sythe users who will always be prone to scams. There isn't much we can do, we've tried.

While I understand you're trying to reduce the amount of scams that occur - this would be more a waste of someones time rather than beneficial, because as Ghast said, it is proven that users do not read the stickies more than they do.

you could scrape the names from the report but remember all the newbs who don't read the reported sticky usually just write a user name instead of linking the profile involved. soo that being said you would have almost 7000k out of the 10k of assumed reports you will need to look through manually. there's no one being lazy on this topic the work is manual and EXTREMELY time consuming.

No support. and you should trying writing a program to scrape user names then see if mods are still lazy.

is that all scam reports that resulted in a ban or was dismissed. you cant simply just assume they are all banned users there's so much to factor in

I think this is a really good idea, and also yes it would be a big job at the start, so maybe a tightly organized team of 1 leader and 2 temps, but the upkeep of it wouldn't be too bad tbh... It could even be setup to be done automatically when you ban a user...

    For example:

If the ban reason is scamming, then there is a form you fill out for it and input any known information (such as examples given in OP)...

I 100% support tho bro. Nice idea :)!

sorry m trade form idead would have solved this very issue as it would have automatically formed a scam report with all info organized and easily accessible with a website scraper or a quick search. it was denied so don't get those hopes up

I am going to have to say no support because I don't believe it will get used and if someone is practicing safe trading anyway they shouldn't have to worry about it.

It's quite ignorant to think laziness has anything to do with it. The members aren't paid, they spend their own time doing things. They have more than enough to handle already not to mention adding 8k+ names to a list in time they don't even have.
