16 Personality types; which one are you?

I got INTJ which sort of makes sense although I don't fit all the criteria.

 

Merchant.

 

According to the online test I'm a ISTJ - The Duty Fulfiller as opposed to my earlier assumptions of being a mix between The Scientist & The Guardian, interesting

 

ESTP - The Doer

Friendly, adaptable, action-oriented. "Doers" who are focused on immediate results. Living in the here-and-now, they're risk-takers who live fast-paced lifestyles. Impatient with long explanations. Extremely loyal to their peers, but not usually respectful of laws and rules if they get in the way of getting things done. Great people skills.

 

I viewed this as a fun activity, nothing more, nothing less. Taking the test is obviously more practical than choosing who you think you are yourself, but it's proven that 50% of test re-takers score differently (many factors come into play that can make that outcome possible), nor is the test consistently used in clinical psychology because of those inconsistencies. I took the test 3 times and fell under 3 different categories. INTP, INTJ, and ENTJ. All I did was change the emphasis on a few questions that could go either way for me. If you're reasonable and objective when labeling yourself, the differences shouldn't be substantial. I'll add it to the OP regardless.

If you're interested in personality types etc. I'd recommend the Enneagram of personality. Look it up on Google.

 

a lot of people on the internet are INTJs although we only make up 1-2% of the general population.

 

these are all also a sliding scale.... you can have traits of all the types since you may be 51% introverted and 49% extroverted but that would still give you an I

 

I've done loads of these tests in the past few years, and I find that I always get IN, it's just the last 2 that change.

Sometimes It's INTJ, others INFP, and INTP.

 

I flip between INTJ and another one depending on how I answer the questions. I know exactly what I have to put to get INTJ at this point so its a rather useless exercise. I like taking the tests and then reading about the various types that are similar to the one you get. You'll be able to relate to them all somewhat.

 

Let's take ESFJ:

I try to "project warmth through a genuine interest in the well-being of others" but I kind of suck at it. I really do care about others and I don't want to harm them but that may just be for selfish reasons of wanting to be liked. Generally you should strive for that. Read "How to win friends and influence people" for more. It's a great book and I highly recommend it.


"They are serious about their responsibilities" -Yep
"Generally proficient at detailed tasks" - Lmao nope. If its following directions to a T I suck but I can do creative (aka programming) well
"they enjoy doing little things that make life easier for others" - Yep
"They value tradition and the security it offers." - Nope fuck that shit hard

"Easily hurt, ESFJs seek approval." - Nope, Rich can suck a dick
"They take pleasure in other people's happiness." - Kind of
"They give generously but expect appreciation in return" - Its nice but not required
"Sensitive to the physical needs of others" No idea what this even means
"As expert people readers, ESFJs often adapt their manner to meet the expectations of others" - I think I try but I also think i fucking suck at it
"However, they may have difficulty recognizing the shortcomings of loved ones" - Lmao no my mom sucks at some shit and I let her know about it
