OFFICIAL F2p & Bond discussion

Doubt many people sell bonds for profit, its mostly done for feedback farming. This update will create a bigger barrier of entrance to being trusted in the black market.

 

I think it is a great update, even though I have now stopped playing the game. Also this update is great because it introduces f2p, which means I can run 20+ bots a day.

 

-.-! Will people be able to buy a bond on rs3 and make it appear in 07? if thats the case...

Jagex have definitely put that into consideration, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a stronger bot detection system on the way to combat the new f2p bots.

 

This is a good update to increase the player base, and generally a good update for the game. People shouldn't bitch.

User buys a bond in RS3 using his eoc.
User goes in Oldschool where the bond appears.
User sells his bond for 07 gold.

Swap done.

 

The bond wont appear in 07 if you buy it in 07. There will be a separate bond in 07, so you have to buy it in 07. Each game has its separate bond, and a separate price (ingame) for that bond.

 

That might be true. I'd lean on this, then making bonds a double item under the same account on both servers.

I hope its like that but I just dont see Jagex doing that.

Its like runecoins.. Whatever game you re on... You still have the same amount of runecoins. (I know theres no runecoins in 07 but its an example). I dont think they will force you to buy a 14 days membership on 07 if u already bought it on eoc. I mean.. If u bought the bond on eoc, im sure that Jagex will make it so u can redeem it in 07.

 

I said that swaps won't be gone due to two things, the first is below. I think this will be the case due to the fact that since bonds are an ingame item and you buy them from the ge in rs3, you can't just go into oldschool to retreive it

Secondly, swapping may will still be there due to the 10% amount of conversion fees. It is much much more convenient for larger amounts to just swap rather then buying bonds for 1m 07 each at a time and swapping

 

Pretty excited to see real F2P introduced back into the game, obviously what Oldschool has been lacking from the start. Hopefully we see a big increase in players and activity in the F2P Wilderness.

Bonds in 07 are cool, saves me swapping it over from RS3.

 

This update is excellent. Less people will be getting scammed due to bonds and trading rs3/07. The F2P aspect is also cool, I would say it would increase player base, but botting will be a huge issue.

 

Jagex took this into consideration so I wouldn't be suprised if bots got banned. They have the technology to do so
